AEW had some interesting visitors in the building last week, because representatives from TKO were spotted attending Dynamite in Las Vegas.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer revealed that TKO representatives were in attendance for the August 12 episode of AEW Dynamite at the Pearl Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort.
“There were TKO reps at Dynamite last week.”
Naturally, the appearance raised questions about why people from WWE and UFC parent company TKO were checking out an AEW show. When Alvarez was asked what brought them to Dynamite, he said it appeared they were simply there to watch the show and noted that they weren’t given free tickets.
“I think just checking it out. They weren’t comped, obviously.”
There is no indication that the TKO representatives were at Dynamite for any kind of business meeting or official purpose. Based on Alvarez’s explanation, they bought their way in and took in the show like anyone else.
TKO representatives showing up at an AEW event is naturally going to get attention considering WWE and AEW’s position as competing wrestling companies. For now, though, it sounds like the visit was simply a chance for people from TKO to see firsthand what AEW was putting on in Las Vegas.
