The “F*ck ICE” chants are back on AEW television — and this time there was an obvious reason Brody King was standing in the ring. During the September 16, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, portions of the crowd briefly broke into the chant as King teamed with Hangman Page and Bandido against Kyle O’Reilly, Orange Cassidy and Roderick Strong.
The chant started during the opening moments of the match and faded out fairly quickly, but it wasn’t some random crowd hijack. King has become closely associated with anti-ICE messaging after publicly wearing an “Abolish ICE” shirt, and Ringside News previously covered his support for immigrant families affected by ICE enforcement, including proceeds from merchandise going to families.
That connection is also why the chants have repeatedly followed King throughout 2026. Back on February 4, a Las Vegas crowd erupted into a loud “F*ck ICE” chant before MJF vs. Brody King, with the reaction becoming loud enough to temporarily overshadow the start of the Dynamite main event.
There was more to that original moment than viewers initially knew. AEW referee Bryce Remsburg later revealed that he deliberately waited to ring the bell so the “F*ck ICE” chant could continue, allowing the crowd reaction to play out before King and MJF officially started wrestling.
The reaction then followed King outside the United States. Fans broke into the same chant at AEW Grand Slam Australia during the introductions for another MJF vs. King match, and just days later it interrupted a Brody King backstage segment on Dynamite.
King eventually addressed the anti-ICE chants that kept following him and admitted the reaction caught him off guard. Instead of throwing him off his game, King said hearing the crowd made him feel like he “could run through a wall.”
That history made what happened on September 16 pretty easy to connect. The chants started almost immediately after King entered the match, briefly resurfacing the crowd reaction that became attached to his anti-ICE stance earlier in the year.
There was still major business happening inside the ring once the chant died down. Hangman, King and Bandido were facing O’Reilly, Cassidy and Strong with the winners earning an AEW World Trios Championship opportunity at All Out, giving King plenty to worry about beyond what the crowd was yelling.
The “F*ck ICE” chants may not have lasted nearly as long this time, but their return during another Brody King match showed that fans haven’t forgotten the stance he publicly took earlier this year.
