Dominik Mysterio wants WWE to start treating him like the AAA Mega Champion. Instead, he just lost again on RAW this week—and fans have had enough.
Dominik fell to Dragon Lee on the August 10 episode of Monday Night RAW, giving him his third consecutive loss and immediately setting off another round of complaints about how WWE is booking one of AAA’s biggest stars. One fan didn’t need many words to sum up the frustration.
“Dom should NOT be losing, man.”
But it wasn’t simply another loss that had people annoyed. Dominik is carrying AAA’s top championship while simultaneously struggling to win matches on WWE television, and fans were quick to point out how strange that looks.
“You guys know Dom is like the AAA world champion and he’s being buried on Raw.”
Another fan went even harder after Dragon Lee picked up the victory: “Losing to a nobody wow. Why are they making dom a jobber.” The reaction becomes considerably more interesting considering what was reported about Dominik before RAW.
According to False Finish, Dominik has grown frustrated with the disconnect between his presentation in AAA and WWE. The report claimed he feels like “two separate people” depending on which show he’s working and believes holding AAA’s biggest championship should result in him being treated more seriously on WWE television.
Fans are apparently starting to see the same problem. One pointed to how different things looked only a year ago, when Dominik was picking up massive victories over names like John Cena and AJ Styles.
“Dom being a jobber this year while he beat Cena and Styles last year says a lot about this company.”
Dominik himself has already questioned why WWE hasn’t done more with the AAA crossover. During a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, he called the lack of integration “mind-blowing” and pitched ideas involving Judgment Day members showing up in AAA, including Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez pursuing championships there.
“The fact that we haven’t already done that is mind-blowing to me… I don’t know what we’re doing. Not my sandbox.”
Now the disconnect is becoming harder to ignore. In AAA, Dominik Mysterio is the man holding the biggest championship in the company. On RAW, he’s now lost three straight. And judging by the reaction after Monday night, fans are starting to wonder how much longer WWE can present both versions of Dirty Dom without one making the other look ridiculous.
