Dominik Mysterio is apparently tired of feeling like he’s playing two completely different characters, since he’s having to deal with the WWE main roster as well as AAA.
According to False Finish, sources say the reigning AAA Mega Champion has grown frustrated with the difference between how he’s presented in AAA and how he’s’s being booked on WWE television. One source claimed Dominik believes he should be treated more seriously on WWE programming while holding the biggest championship in AAA instead of feeling like he’s “two separate people” depending on which show he’s on.
The report lines up with comments Dominik made just a couple of weeks ago, where he openly questioned why WWE and AAA haven’t done more to connect their worlds. Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Dominik admitted he doesn’t have all the answers for blending WWE and AAA together, but made it clear he’d love to see Judgment Day become part of the crossover instead of keeping everything separate.
“Yeah, I honestly, I’m not sure how to, like, mix the two, you know? I would love for the Judgment Day crew… to come down to Triple A and maybe, you know, join forces…”
He didn’t stop there. Dominik started throwing out ideas that went far beyond a one-night cameo. He pitched Raquel Rodriguez chasing AAA tag team gold, JD McDonagh joining her, and even Liv Morgan going after AAA’s Women’s Championship while continuing her run in WWE.
“The fact that we haven’t already done that is mind-blowing to me because all of the titles… Raquel just winning the Women’s IC Championship… why not bring her down?… Have Liv go for the Women’s World Title for Triple A… I don’t know what we’re doing. Not my sandbox.”
Dominik wasn’t claiming to know WWE’s plans. In fact, he made it clear the creative decisions aren’t his to make. But he also didn’t hide the fact that he thinks WWE and AAA are leaving a lot on the table by treating his AAA run as something almost completely separate from everything he does with Judgment Day.
They may have been the first public hint that Dominik has been unhappy with the disconnect all along. As AAA Mega Champion, he believes that version of “Dirty Dom” should carry over to WWE television instead of feeling like two different wrestlers depending on which company he’s appearing for.
Whether WWE changes course remains to be seen. But with Dominik now apparently frustrated behind the scenes—and having already admitted publicly that the lack of crossover is “mind-blowing” to him—it’ll be interesting to see whether WWE and AAA eventually lean into the unified presentation he’s been asking for.
