2 Cold Scorpio’s criminal case just hit its biggest development yet.
According to legal documents obtained by Ringside News, the former WWE, WCW and ECW star was sentenced on October 9 to six years in the Missouri Department of Corrections after previously pleading guilty in his Kansas City assault case. The court record leaves very little mystery about what happened at Thursday’s sentencing hearing.
“The Court sentences Defendant to Six (6) years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. Defendant to attend and complete the 120 day Shock Incarceration program under Section 559.115.3 RSMo.”
That means Charles “2 Cold Scorpio” Scaggs has now officially been handed a six-year sentence, with the court also ordering him to complete Missouri’s 120-day Shock Incarceration program.
There is one major wrinkle here, though — and it could determine how much of that six-year sentence Scorpio actually spends behind bars. Under Missouri’s Shock Incarceration setup, a defendant can be sent to a specific Department of Corrections facility to complete an intense, highly structured, boot-camp-style program designed to give the offender exactly what the name suggests: a serious shock to the system.
If Scorpio successfully completes the 120-day program, the Missouri Department of Corrections will send a report and recommendation back to the court detailing his conduct and progress. At that point, the judge can decide to grant probation and release him from prison to serve the rest of the six-year term under supervision in the community.
But if Scorpio fails the program or the court isn’t satisfied with how things went, the judge can deny probation — and that would leave him facing the remainder of the full six-year prison sentence.
So while Scorpio has officially been sentenced to six years, the 120-day program gives him a potential path back out of prison much sooner. That also means this case probably isn’t done producing major updates, with another important decision likely coming in early 2027 once the program is completed and the court gets the Department of Corrections’ recommendation.
The sentence comes after an already ugly few weeks for Scorpio. He had been scheduled for sentencing on October 9 after pleading guilty to second-degree assault and armed criminal action, but things got even worse before he ever reached that date.
Scaggs was taken into custody on September 17 after admitting in court that he had brandished a firearm while out on bond. The judge found that he had clearly violated his bond conditions and determined that the violation created a danger to public safety. The court stated at the time:
“Court finds and believes Defendant to be clearly in violation of his bond conditions, and that said violation is a danger to public safety.”
That incident came after prosecutors had already asked the court to revoke his bond. Ringside News previously covered Scorpio’s guilty plea and the developments surrounding his assault case, which kept him from going to trial on the original first-degree assault charge.
The case dates back to June 15, 2024, when Scaggs was involved in a violent confrontation at a Love’s Travel Stop in Kansas City while working security. Ringside News covered his arrest following the stabbing incident, which left another man suffering multiple cut and stab wounds. Scaggs maintained that he acted in self-defense, but prosecutors ultimately moved forward with the case before a plea agreement was reached.
Things got especially messy because Scorpio had already returned to wrestling while the criminal case was still hanging over his head. Ringside News covered his in-ring return just weeks after his guilty plea, only for him to wind up back behind bars after the firearm-related bond violation.
Now there’s no more waiting for sentencing day. The judge has handed Scorpio six years in the Missouri Department of Corrections and ordered him into the 120-day Shock Incarceration program, putting a very real number on a case that has followed him for more than two years.
For 2 Cold Scorpio, this stopped being about court dates and bond hearings the second that sentence came down. The wrestling veteran now has a six-year prison sentence hanging over him, and the next phase of this story will play out inside Missouri’s corrections system instead of inside a wrestling ring.
