2 Cold Scorpio isn’t done wrestling just yet. Charles Scaggs, the former WWE, WCW and ECW star also known as Flash Funk, is getting back in the ring on August 29 for his first match in more than a year — just weeks after striking a plea deal in his criminal case.
Scorpio is set to make his debut for S.V.N. Wrestling in Los Angeles, where he’ll go one-on-one with MASADA at the LA Church. His last match took place in August 2025, meaning the bout will mark his first time back in action in roughly a year. SVN announced the matchup by billing it as a first-time-ever collision between two veterans.
“LOS ANGELES — 2 Cold Scorpio makes his SVN debut on August 29th at the LA Church against the Ultra Violent Beast MASADA. Two legends go head to head for the first time ever! SVN: Violent Nature — 8/29/26, Los Angeles.”
The booking comes while Scorpio is still waiting to be sentenced in his criminal case. The 60-year-old pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and armed criminal action after originally facing first-degree assault and armed criminal action in Kansas City, Missouri. His trial had been scheduled to begin, but the plea agreement ended that process before a jury was brought in.
The case stems from a June 15, 2024 confrontation while Scorpio was working security at a Love’s Travel Stop. The case dragged through the court system for more than two years with several delays before the plea deal was reached. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 9 at 3 p.m. local time.
For now, Scorpio isn’t waiting around for sentencing before stepping through the ropes again. His August 29 match against MASADA puts the longtime wrestling veteran back in front of a crowd for the first time since last summer.
