Dillon Danis lost fast at Real American Freestyle 10, but the bigger story came after the match was already over.

Danis faced Khamzat Chimaev in the main event of RAF 10, and Chimaev made quick work of him. The former UFC middleweight champion pinned Danis just 44 seconds into the contest.

Things got ugly right after the finish. Danis kept hold of Chimaev’s leg after the match and then kicked his legs as Chimaev got up. Chimaev did not take kindly to that, kicking back at Danis’ legs before both teams rushed in and chaos broke out on the mat.

After the event, Chimaev spoke with Red Corner MMA and made it clear he was not impressed with Danis’ actions.

“What should I think? Stupid guys do stupid things. I accept something like that. He knows he wasn’t my level in wrestling so he felt that and then he tried to sub me. Like do submission, bro. If he did a submission on me, I’m never going to train again.”

Chimaev then called Danis “weird” and said he tried to control himself before things spilled over.

“He’s a weird guy, honestly. You know I try to hold myself but this idiot do stupid things. What should we do?”

Danis has been involved in plenty of drama before, and this latest incident only adds to that reputation. This time, it came after a very short match where Chimaev had already handled business in less than a minute.

RAF CEO Chad Bronstein said after the event that he would review what happened and decide whether any punishments will be handed out. For now, Chimaev got the win, Danis got another controversy, and RAF 10 ended with a brawl instead of a clean walk-off.
