Mara Sade is still a free agent, but TNA is not done talking to her. As of this week, the former Jakara Jackson had not signed a new contract, even though negotiations remain active.

Fightful Select reports that Sade and TNA are still in talks following the expiration of her previous deal. Nothing has been finalized, which leaves the door open for TNA or another company to make a move.

“Also as of this week, Mara Sade had not signed a new contract, but there were ongoing talks.”

Her contract status will not stop her from appearing at this week’s TNA tapings. Sade is still expected to compete in the Television Championship tournament, and there was no concern backstage that she would pull out of the match.

“She’s still expected to compete at the tapings this week in her TV Title tournament match. There were no concerns that she wouldn’t work the match.”

Sade advanced in the tournament at TNA’s Albany tapings after defeating Tasha Steelz in the opening round. That keeps her involved in an active championship storyline even while her future with the company remains unsettled.

The former WWE star worked under the Jakara Jackson name in NXT before joining TNA as Mara Sade. She also made appearances on WWE’s main roster and challenged for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on SmackDown.

For now, Sade is doing business with TNA without being locked into a new contract. The talks are still alive, the tournament match is still happening and her next deal remains up for grabs.

Do you think Mara Sade will re-sign with TNA, or will another company pull her away? Leave your feedback in the comments.
