The May 26 episode of NXT brought the usual action from WWE’s developmental brand. This included a segment where DarkState explained themselves after kicking Saquon Shugars to the curb last week.
DarkState was on hand this week to explain themselves. They explained that Saquon Shugars was kicked out because he was the odd man out.
It was explained that since Shugars isn’t a top crossover athlete, he had to go. They went on to say that the stable “went out on a limb” time and time again to protect Shugars, but he kept failing. He didn’t understand the consequences, and last week was the last straw.
It was said that Saquon Shugars failed DarkState too many times. Dion Lennox explained that Shugars tried to turn the rest of the stable against him, and that caused him to pull the trigger on kicking him out.
Dion Lennox went on to say that there is no DarkState without him. He said “I built this thing brick by brick, and I’ll be damned if I let anyone tear it down.” DarkState is back to their old ways, and they put the entire locker room on notice.
We will keep an eye on what DarkState does next. The stable certainly has a lot of momentum at this point, and it seems that they’re not done by a long shot.
