Original: There’s now a serious clash over Andy Williams’ condition after The Butcher collapsed at an Enjoy Wrestling show Saturday night.
Wrestling podcaster Famous Davis claimed late September 5 that Williams had died at Allegheny General Hospital after being rushed there following the medical emergency. Davis later doubled down, saying Williams’ next of kin had been notified and that an autopsy would be performed after the Labor Day holiday.
Then Enjoy Wrestling stepped in — and flat-out said that wasn’t true. After a user asked whether Williams’ death had been confirmed, the promotion responded early September 6 with a direct denial.
“It’s not true. Delete this.”
That immediately created a major conflict between the information Davis was putting out and the promotion that was on the ground when Williams collapsed. Earlier in the night, Enjoy Wrestling had already confirmed that Williams went down at the end of his match during the promotion’s Five Years event at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania. The promotion said doctors on staff rushed to him immediately and performed CPR until an ambulance arrived.

Enjoy Wrestling shut the show down, sent everyone home and said members of the promotion were at the hospital waiting for more information. Hours later, Davis posted that Williams had passed away. Ringside News reached out to Davis directly, and he told us he stood by the information he had received.
Davis later added that the medical examiner would perform an autopsy after the Labor Day holiday and said next of kin had been notified before he shared the death claim publicly. Now Enjoy Wrestling is saying the death report is false.
As of this writing, there is no clear public resolution to the conflicting information. Davis has stood behind his source, while Enjoy Wrestling has directly denied that Williams passed away. What is confirmed is that Williams collapsed, received CPR and was taken to the hospital. His current condition has not been publicly clarified beyond that.
This one went from scary to confusing fast. Until there is a direct update from Williams’ family, the hospital or another official source, the conflicting reports around The Butcher’s condition are going to remain exactly that — conflicting.
