CM Punk’s habit of wearing other WWE Superstars’ entrance gear isn’t over yet. This time, IYO SKY’s robe ended up on his shoulders—and Punk even copied her signature entrance pose for good measure.
During WWE’s August 23 live event in Calgary, Punk made his entrance wearing IYO SKY’s robe. Fans immediately recognized what he was doing, but Punk took the bit further by recreating IYO’s signature pose while the crowd cheered him on.
It’s become something of a running joke for Punk at WWE live events. Back in July, Punk walked onto the stage in Bakersfield wearing one of Seth Rollins’ jackets. He kept it on until reaching the top of the ramp, where he hit his usual pose before ripping the jacket off and throwing it aside.
That came only one night after Punk showed up at WWE’s Stockton live event wearing Trick Williams’ white fur coat. Williams later joked on Twitter: “I been looking for my jacket.” Charlotte Flair also got the same treatment. Punk was previously spotted backstage wearing one of Flair’s glittering entrance robes, prompting Charlotte to share the clip herself.
Now IYO SKY has officially joined the list. Punk didn’t just throw on her robe for a quick laugh. He committed to the bit by copying IYO’s entrance pose in front of the Calgary crowd, adding another name to his growing collection of WWE stars whose gear he has borrowed.
