Chelsea Green finally grabbed the biggest win of her WWE career at SummerSlam 2026, climbing the ladder and pulling down the Interim WWE Women’s Championship in front of a packed Minnesota crowd.
Green survived Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, Lash Legend and hometown favorite Tiffany Stratton in a wild five-woman ladder match that turned into complete chaos almost immediately. With Rhea Ripley sidelined by a torn meniscus, WWE needed an interim champion, and Green made sure that title ended up in her hands.
The match was loaded with brutal ladder spots. Lash Legend powerbombed Stratton onto a ladder, Flair was left hanging above the ring before crashing into another ladder, and Stratton was sent flying over the ropes after Green shoved the ladder out from under her.
Green nearly had the title won earlier, but B-Fab and Michin hit the ring and stopped her. They trapped Green and kicked her in the head before trying to help Jade Cargill take control, only for Charlotte Flair to shut that down.
The final stretch turned into a pileup with three ladders in the ring and every woman trying to reach the championship at the same time. One by one, everyone got knocked down, leaving Green with the opening she needed. Green pulled herself back up, climbed the ladder and took down the title to become Interim WWE Women’s Champion.
The win marks the first world championship of Green’s career and puts her directly in Rhea Ripley’s path whenever the injured champion is ready to return. For now, though, SummerSlam belonged to Chelsea Green.
