Rhea Ripley may have already had surgery, but Chelsea Green still has no idea what happens next. With Ripley recovering from knee surgery and expected to eventually return to settle the WWE Women’s Championship picture, one of the biggest questions has been what happens to interim champion Chelsea Green. Apparently, nobody has told her.

Speaking to Complex Graps, Green admitted WWE hasn’t filled her in on what the plan is once Ripley is cleared to return. In fact, she joked that she barely knows what she’s doing from one media appearance to the next.

“I don’t know who I’m talking to, who I’m talking to an hour from now for media. Like, I have no idea what’s going on, but I love to fly by the seat of my pants.”

Rather than being frustrated by the uncertainty, Green said she’s become comfortable working without much notice because that’s been her reality for years. She added that working in those situations has become second nature to her.

“One thing about me is I work best under pressure. When someone gives me, say, a script last minute, I love, love, love fighting for my life. I’ve been doing that for so long that it just comes naturally now. You know, it is what it is.”

The comments come just days after Green captured the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam while Ripley remained sidelined with a torn meniscus. Ripley has since undergone knee surgery, but WWE has yet to announce how the championship situation will be resolved once she’s medically cleared. For now, Green is carrying the title—but even she doesn’t know what happens when the real champion comes back.

Do you think Chelsea Green should have to defend the Interim Women’s Championship against Rhea Ripley, or should Ripley automatically regain her title once she’s cleared? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
