Cary Silkin heard Ric Flair might have $200,000 waiting for him if he can get his famous gold robe back, and apparently that brought up an old bill. The former ROH owner says Flair has owed him $41,000 since 2009, and 17 years later, he still wants his money.

Silkin took to Twitter and dragged the old dispute back into the conversation while reacting to Flair’s claim that Steve Solomon had offered $200,000 for his missing gold robe. Silkin hopes Flair gets every dollar of it. He’d just like $41,000 of that money to finally make its way to him.

“I know this is old news, but hopefully Steve Solomon gives you the 200 K and @RicFlairNatrBoy give me the 41K that has been owed since 2009.”

Silkin even admitted he made his own mistake when the situation originally went down. He says he paid Flair upfront and has publicly called himself a “fool” for doing it, but that doesn’t change his belief that Flair still owes him the money.

“I had publicly admitted to being a fool for paying upfront. Be that as it may I’m here 41K should be nothing for your nature, boy.! Like the great Leonard Cohen song ‘everybody knows.’”

Silkin’s $41,000 claim has been hanging around for a very long time. The dispute dates back to Flair’s involvement with Ring of Honor in 2009, when Silkin has said Flair was paid upfront for a series of appearances but didn’t fulfill everything that had been agreed upon.

Silkin has talked about the situation publicly before, so he isn’t presenting this as some newly discovered debt. What’s new is him putting Flair directly on the spot again after seeing a considerably larger amount of money attached to the Nature Boy’s missing robe. Flair previously claimed Solomon was prepared to pay $200,000 for the gold robe and warned whoever had it that he would personally come after them with his lawyer.

“If you think I am bullshtting about my robes, Steve Solomon, who has more money than God, just offered me $200K for this gold robe. Whoever has it better send it to me ASAP.”*

Flair was trying to make a point about just how valuable his old robes have become. Silkin saw the same $200,000 figure and apparently thought it was a pretty good time to remind Flair about the $41,000 he says has been missing from his own pocket since Barack Obama’s first year in the White House.

Flair hasn’t publicly responded to Silkin’s latest shot. For now, Silkin is hoping the Nature Boy finds his $200,000 robe, gets his money and finally remembers there’s a former ROH owner who says he’s been waiting 17 years for his cut.

Do you think Ric Flair should finally address Cary Silkin’s claim that he still owes him $41,000 from 2009? Let us know in the comments.
