Brooke Hogan still isn’t satisfied with the official answers surrounding Hulk Hogan’s death, and now she’s questioning the toxicology details in the police report.
While speaking on Bubba the Love Sponge’s podcast, Brooke questioned the toxicology findings after Clearwater Police closed the investigation into Hogan’s death and ruled it natural. Brooke said the report claimed nothing in Hogan’s blood suggested opioid use, but that immediately raised red flags for her.
“It’s funny that they say somewhere in the report—it’s either in the police report or whatever the official report it was—but they say they found no… however you say the official way of saying, ‘We found nothing in his blood that would suggest opioids or something like that.’”
Brooke Hogan said she finds that hard to believe because her father was in serious pain and had prescriptions around him, according to what she says she was told by a lawyer close to the case.
“But I’m like—I’m sorry, but there had to be a Percocet in there. I could be wrong, but even if it was light use or something, I was told by a lawyer that was near the case that he had prescriptions around him.”
She made it clear she is not accusing her father of abusing medication, but said it would be strange if there were no narcotics in his system at all. Brooke then suggested that a clean toxicology result could affect potential medical malpractice questions, because it would remove one possible argument from doctors.
“Were they abused? No. But with prescriptions around, the fact that there was nothing in his system—I’m like… he was in a lot of pain, there had to be something in his system. They said there’s zero narcotics in there. If you wanted to sue for medical malpractice, the other doctors couldn’t say, ‘Well, he had Percocet in his system, so you can’t blame us—it could’ve been the Percocet.’”
Her biggest issue came down to what she sees as a contradiction. Brooke said officials allegedly claimed they did not have Hogan’s blood, yet still made determinations about what was or was not in his system: “And I thought they said they didn’t have his blood? So what is it?”
Bubba questioned that same point during the conversation: “How can they make this determination to rule out opioids in his blood if they didn’t take his blood?” Brooke admitted there may be other ways to collect toxicology information, but she still said the situation does not make sense to her, especially with the autopsy questions she has already raised.
“There are ways to get it, either through an eyeball or different ways, right? But most autopsies take place within 72 hours of a person dying, so I don’t know how long this information lasts in your eyeball or blood.”
She then circled back to the death certificate, again questioning why an autopsy would not be listed if toxicology information was available, making it clear it just doesn’t make any sense to her whatsoever.
“But they said they didn’t have his blood, yet they were able to have a toxicology report. And they don’t want to list that there was an autopsy on the official record of death, on the death certificate—so that doesn’t make sense to me.”
Clearwater Police have already closed the case and ruled Hogan’s death natural, but Brooke clearly believes there are still unanswered questions. Between the toxicology report, the alleged missing blood issue, and the death certificate not listing an autopsy, she is continuing to challenge the official version of events.
