Bron Breakker believes another member of the Steiner family could eventually make his way to WWE. While his cousin Brock Rechsteiner is still pursuing football, Breakker thinks professional wrestling could be waiting for him somewhere down the road.
While speaking with 11Alive, Breakker was asked whether Rechsteiner—the son of Scott Steiner—could eventually follow him into the squared circle. Breakker didn’t hesitate much when it came to the possibility.
“Um, I think so. One day.”
Breakker isn’t trying to rush his cousin into wrestling, though. Before anything happens with WWE, he wants Rechsteiner to get everything he possibly can out of football.
“I hope that Brock plays, um, in the NFL for a long time. I hope he has a, a long and great career and gets everything that he wants out of that situation.”
Breakker has also been keeping a close eye on how his cousin is handling the football grind. Having gone through that environment himself before becoming a wrestler, Breakker knows how difficult training camp can be mentally.
“I’m excited for him. I’ve been, uh, you know, checking in with him, making sure his mind is sharp during training camp right now ’cause I’ve been through that, know what it’s like.”
That experience is why Breakker has made himself available whenever Rechsteiner needs advice. Whether it’s football or simply dealing with the pressure that comes with training camp, he wants his cousin to know he has someone who understands what he’s going through.
“Um, so anything I can do as a cousin to help or any advice or anything that he would, uh, you know, any questions or anything in, in that vein that he would have for me. I just want to be a helping hand for him in any sort of way or just someone for him to, um, you know, talk, talk through, you know, ’cause training camp is, is tough.”
Rechsteiner’s football situation has since taken a turn. The New Orleans Saints waived him while cutting their roster to 53 players, although another NFL opportunity could still come along. The 25-year-old already has a connection to WWE as well. Rechsteiner signed an NIL deal with the company in February 2025 and has previously talked about pursuing professional wrestling whenever his football career is finished.
So Breakker isn’t telling his cousin to trade the football field for a wrestling ring tomorrow. He just believes that day could eventually come—and if it does, Brock already has someone in the family who knows exactly what that transition is like.
