Brock Lesnar isn’t just trying to destroy Oba Femi on WWE television—he’s apparently helping build him behind the scenes, too.

While the two titans are busy trying to destroy each other ahead of SummerSlam, Triple H has revealed there’s another side to their relationship that fans never get to see. According to WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Lesnar has quietly taken Oba Femi under his wing, spending hours mentoring him backstage because he believes he’s looking at one of WWE’s future biggest stars.

Triple H dropped the surprising backstage story while talking about WWE’s veteran leadership on Busted Open Radio. As he praised names like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins for helping younger talent, he suddenly singled out Lesnar—and revealed the Beast has become one of Oba Femi’s biggest teachers.

“We’re fortunate now to have a generation also of Cody and Punk and Roman and Seth and all of these guys… Brock, right? Brock is—he’d probably suplex me for saying this—but Brock is hands-on with Oba Femi. He sees something special there and he’s like, ‘Okay, kid, come with me and I’m going to teach you. Here’s all the things you’ve got to learn.'”

And Lesnar isn’t just handing out quick pieces of advice in the hallway. According to Triple H, he regularly pulls Femi into his room before shows, where the two spend hours breaking down the wrestling business. It’s the kind of mentorship fans never see, but Triple H believes it’s exactly what’s preparing the next generation to eventually take over WWE.

“He brings him into his room in the afternoon. They sit for hours and talk about this stuff, right? It’s that level of stuff that brings this next generation up, and I think will take it to the next level.”

For Triple H, that’s become one of WWE’s biggest strengths. Every established headliner is now passing knowledge down to the next wave of talent, creating a system where tomorrow’s stars are learning directly from today’s biggest names.

“For every star that we have now sitting at the top, there’s a guy underneath him—an Oba, a Trick, a Carmelo, a Je’Von—all these people sitting underneath them just soaking up this knowledge, and I think that’s going to make the next generation thrive.”

The timing makes this even more interesting. Lesnar and Femi have been at each other’s throats since before WrestleMania 42. They’ve split their first two matches, they’ve traded brutal attacks for months, and they’re now headed into a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam that’s expected to end the feud for good. Yet once the cameras stop rolling, the man trying to put Oba Femi through the canvas is also the one pulling him aside backstage and showing him how to become WWE’s next breakout attraction.
