Fans have already started fantasy booking Brie Bella’s WWE comeback after her injury, but Nikki Bella isn’t buying any of it. In fact, she says WWE hasn’t even talked to them about a return yet, while also revealing the date she and Brie are hoping to circle on the calendar.
It all kicked off after Pro Wrestling Headlines reacted to an article pitching possible comeback storylines for Brie, calling ideas like another Bella Twins feud or Blake Monroe retiring her “god awful.” Nikki saw the post, thought it was aimed at her and Brie, and fired back without wasting any time.
“Well no need to get your panties in a bunch bc it’s all bs. Alllll of it.”
The account quickly explained that it wasn’t taking a shot at The Bella Twins at all. It was criticizing the rumored creative and made it clear it was actually excited to see Brie wrestle again.
“I really want to emphasize this was NOT meant as disrespect toward you guys. I’m a fan and I am genuinely excited for Brie’s return. My frustration was 100% with the creative team and the rumored booking, not you guys. Nothing but respect for you both ❤️💋.”
After seeing that, Nikki admitted she’d read the situation wrong before giving fans the update they actually cared about. She said most of the WWE creative stories floating around online are just rumors, revealed there haven’t been any discussions about Brie’s return, and then shared the date everyone is crossing their fingers for: the Royal Rumble next year.
“🥰💋🫶🏼🙏🏼 thank you for that! Means so much! Totally misread. Majority of the time, all the creative talk are rumors. Not even close to the truth. Also we have no idea when Brie will be back 🙂 There hasn’t been any discussions at all. We all are hoping Rumble! 🙏🏼🤞🏼🤷🏻♀️”
That hope comes as Brie continues working her way back from the multiple fractures in her scapula she suffered at SummerSlam. Doctors ultimately decided she wouldn’t need surgery, but the recovery has still been a grind.
Earlier this month, Brie revealed she’d finally reached her biggest milestone yet, saying she can now lift her arm and bend it to around 90 degrees after weeks of barely being able to move it. She’s still looking at a three-to-six-month recovery, but the progress is finally starting to show.
The Royal Rumble is clearly the comeback everyone around Brie wants to see, but Nikki made it pretty clear they’re not there yet. First comes getting Brie healthy. After that, WWE can worry about the creative. Until then, don’t expect Nikki to lose much sleep over the latest internet rumors.
