Brie Bella finally got the answer she was waiting for — and yeah, it’s not exactly the comeback update WWE fans were hoping to hear.

After recently revealing that she had undergone another CT scan on her broken scapula, Brie confirmed on the latest episode of The Nikki & Brie Show that the results are officially in. The big takeaway? Her bones still have not fused. Brie casually dropped the update while talking with Nikki Bella about Sacramento, but the news itself was a pretty big deal considering she had been waiting on WWE to review the scans.

“So, on the solo episode, I told you guys all that I just got back from my scans. Well, the results came in and unfortunately my bones have not fused. So, that’s okay. You know, it’s like two months in though.”

That obviously sounds rough, but Brie isn’t panicking. Nikki pointed out that doctors have really been looking at the three-month mark as the point where they expect the bones to be fully fused, meaning Brie still has some time before anybody starts hitting the alarm button.

“Yeah, they really do. It’s really three months where they feel like the bones would be fused.”

So no, Brie isn’t suddenly headed backward. But she also isn’t about to throw on some gear and start taking bumps again either. Brie made that crystal clear when the conversation turned to Nikki’s upcoming match against Paige in Sacramento. Brie said she may be there with their mother, but fans shouldn’t see her walking into the building and immediately start fantasy-booking Twin Magic.

“Yeah, I’m still on the right path of healing and still all the things, but no. So, if you see me pull into Sacramento with my mom, please don’t assume I’m wrestling. There’s no going to be no twin magic. Trust me, I wish.”

As Ringside News previously covered, Brie was still deep in rehab, going to physical therapy three days a week and dealing with serious restrictions on what she could lift. She also admitted she was still experiencing sharp pain and spasms during basic everyday movements. And even if those bones had fused this time around, Brie had already warned fans that it wouldn’t mean she could just hop on a plane and wrestle the next night. The next step would only be more rehab, more weight training, more movement and eventually getting her cardio back.

Brie suffered the injury at WWE SummerSlam on August 1 after a cannonball spot near the steel steps left her with multiple fractures in her scapula. Somehow, she still finished the match before later learning just how badly she was hurt. There was at least one major silver lining. Doctors determined that Brie would not need surgery, but she was still looking at a recovery process that could stretch anywhere from three to six months.

Naturally, the Royal Rumble question has already started hanging over all of this. Nikki previously said WWE had not started putting together any concrete return timeline for Brie, though the 2027 Royal Rumble has been floated as the hopeful target if everything heals the way it’s supposed to.

Right now, though, Brie still has one very important box left unchecked: those bones need to fuse. That means the comeback fantasy booking can cool down for a minute. Brie may show up in Sacramento, she may sit ringside, and she may cheer Nikki on — but she already told everyone exactly what not to expect. Twin Magic is still on ice.

Do you think Brie Bella can realistically make it back in time for the 2027 Royal Rumble, or does this latest scan make that feel too soon? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
