WWE’s developmental cuts just claimed another name, and Braxton Cole is now out.
Sean Ross Sapp revealed on September 4, 2026 that Cole is part of WWE’s latest round of cuts, adding another developmental talent to the growing list of departures.
Cole, whose real name is Camden Gagnon, came into WWE with a football background. The former defensive lineman joined WWE’s developmental system before being repackaged as Braxton Cole and getting more television time through WWE Evolve and WWE LFG.
Cole became involved in a rivalry with Harlem Lewis that played out across LFG and Evolve, giving him some of his biggest opportunities since joining WWE. He also challenged for the Evolve Championship as WWE continued testing him in bigger spots. That development will now continue somewhere else. Cole becomes the sixth confirmed name gone during this round of WWE cuts.
The WWE releases confirmed so far include:
- Jasper Troy
- PJ Vasa
- Wendy Choo
- Adriana Rizzo
- Zena Sterling
- Braxton Cole
Cole had only been inside WWE’s system for a relatively short time, but LFG and Evolve had already started putting more television time behind him. Instead of that leading to a bigger NXT role, his WWE run is now over. WWE’s developmental cuts keep stacking up, and Braxton Cole makes six names out so far. With releases continuing to surface, there’s still no guarantee the list stops here.
