WWE’s developmental roster just lost another name. PJ Vasa has confirmed that her time with the company is over, revealing the news herself on Twitter as WWE continues making cuts across NXT.
Vasa, whose real name is Penina Tuilaepa, posted a farewell message on September 4 and thanked WWE for giving her the opportunity to break into professional wrestling. She made it clear she’s already looking ahead to whatever comes next. She then thanked WWE for opening the door for her career and teased her next move with a familiar countdown.

The message confirms her WWE departure and also points toward the standard 30-day window before she can move forward with whatever comes next. Vasa came into WWE after a rugby background and spent much of her developmental run trying to break through on the company’s newer platforms. One of her biggest opportunities came through WWE LFG, where she competed under her real name, Penina Tuilaepa.
She became a regular part of the A&E series and worked under WWE legends as the show followed prospects fighting for opportunities inside the company. Vasa eventually became one of the more recognizable women featured on LFG before WWE transitioned her into the PJ Vasa name. Her development continued through WWE Evolve, where she received more in-ring time and opportunities to establish herself before ever becoming a regular fixture on NXT television.
Vasa’s exit comes as WWE is cutting talent from its developmental system. Jasper Troy was also confirmed out during the same round of moves, and the cuts appear to be focused on NXT rather than the main roster.
Vasa isn’t leaving fans guessing about her status, either. She said goodbye to WWE herself, thanked the company for giving her the opportunity and immediately dropped “#30Days” — making it pretty clear she already has one eye on what comes after WWE.
