Blake Monroe has had enough of Bayley playing games online. After Bayley gave her little more than a shrug on social media, Monroe fired back on August 22 and basically told her to either show up on SmackDown or stop tweeting her altogether.
The exchange started after Monroe declared herself “world championship material” following the August 21 episode of SmackDown, where her advertised match against Giulia never officially started. Monroe posted: “World championship material, don’t waste my time.”
Bayley then jumped into the conversation with one incredibly short response, “Ok.” That clearly wasn’t enough for Monroe. She responded by questioning whether that was really all Bayley had to say. Bayley decided to keep the tease going instead of giving Monroe a straight answer.
“Maybe…”
“Maybe not.”
That was apparently the breaking point for Monroe. She fired back and told Bayley there’s only one way to keep the conversation going — show up on SmackDown.
“No one likes a tease, see u on Friday or don’t tweet me again.”
The line immediately puts another name into Monroe’s growing list of problems after Friday’s SmackDown. Monroe was supposed to make her official SmackDown in-ring debut against Giulia on August 21, but she attacked Giulia during the entrance before the bell ever rang. She later insisted that what happened did not count as the debut she waited years to have.
“That’s not my debut. I didn’t wait four months getting caught up to SmackDown, and I didn’t wait nine years to make it to the WWE to have my debut like that.”
Monroe then declared herself World Championship material and demanded that Chelsea Green be brought to her.
“I’m World Championship material. So you find Chelsea Green, you bring her to me, and then you get the glamour. Until then, get out my face.”
Now Bayley has entered the picture too. Bayley has been off WWE television since losing to Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event, while questions have continued about when she’ll return. WWE has also continued mentioning her on television, keeping the door wide open for her to reappear.
Monroe isn’t interested in vague hints anymore. If Bayley wants to keep poking at her online, Monroe wants her to back it up in person next Friday. Whether Bayley actually shows up on SmackDown remains to be seen, but Blake Monroe has made the terms pretty simple: appear on the show or stop tweeting her.
Do you think Bayley will answer Blake Monroe’s challenge and show up on SmackDown next Friday? Would you want to see Bayley vs. Monroe? Leave your feedback and let us know what you think.
