Blake Monroe is making one thing very clear after Friday Night SmackDown — what happened with Giulia does not count as her official in-ring debut.
WWE posted footage to social media of Monroe addressing what went down after her advertised match against Giulia never officially started. Monroe was supposed to make her SmackDown in-ring debut against Giulia in Toronto, but she attacked her opponent during the entrance instead. Giulia was sent into the steel steps before Monroe dropped her with The Neutralizer and walked away without the bell ever ringing.
Afterward, Monroe made it clear she wasn’t willing to accept that as the debut she had spent years chasing.
“That’s not my debut. I didn’t wait four months getting caught up to SmackDown, and I didn’t wait nine years to make it to the WWE to have my debut like that.”
Monroe then set her sights on a much bigger opportunity, declaring herself World Championship material and specifically demanding Chelsea Green.
“I’m World Championship material. So you find Chelsea Green, you bring her to me, and then you get the glamour. Until then, get out my face.”
The comments immediately shift the focus away from simply waiting for WWE to reschedule Monroe vs. Giulia. Monroe now wants Green brought to her, while insisting that her first official SmackDown match needs to feel worthy of everything she went through to get there.
What do you think about Blake Monroe refusing to recognize the Giulia situation as her SmackDown debut and calling for Chelsea Green instead? Let us know what you think and leave your feedback in the comments.
