Big Bill’s AEW run appears to be officially over as he’s been removed from the roster page.
Just one day after WWE began teasing his return on the July 13 edition of RAW, Big Cass—better known as Big Bill during his AEW run—has now been removed from AEW’s official roster page, all but confirming that his time with Tony Khan’s company has come to an end.
The roster update comes after weeks of reports that Bill’s AEW contract was expiring and that WWE expected to bring him back once he was fully clear of his obligations. That process now appears to be complete.
We had previously reported that Bill had submitted his notice to AEW and was expected to head back to WWE, where he originally made his name as Big Cass. The report also stated that current plans called for Enzo Amore to join him, setting the stage for a reunion of the former Realest Guys in the Room.
WWE wasted little time fueling those reports. On this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, the company aired a mysterious vignette featuring Big Cass himself. During the promo, he referenced once being labeled “can’t miss” before declaring that he was coming back. The video ended by flashing “8/3” across the screen, pointing to the RAW immediately following SummerSlam.
Now, with his profile gone from AEW’s website, the final piece has seemingly fallen into place. While WWE has yet to officially announce Big Cass’ return, his removal from AEW’s roster makes it clear he is no longer with the company. All signs now point toward August 3, where fans are expected to see the former Big Cass back in a WWE ring—possibly with Enzo right beside him.
