Big Bill may be done with AEW very soon, and WWE could already be waiting on the other side.
According to Fightful Select, Bill’s AEW contract is set to expire within the next week, and he has submitted his notice to All Elite Wrestling. That would clear the path for him to leave the company after a run that started back in 2022. The bigger twist? The expectation is that Bill will return to WWE, where fans knew him as Big Cass. And he may not be coming back alone.
Fightful also reports that current plans call for Enzo Amore to join WWE as well, although Enzo had not officially signed a deal as of mid-June. The belief inside WWE is that the company wanted to wait until Bill was fully clear of his AEW obligations before locking in both former tag team partners.
That makes the timing pretty hard to ignore. Bill has not been on AEW or ROH television since contract talk started floating around earlier this year, and now the word is he has given notice with his deal almost up. Enzo’s name being tied to the plan only makes it feel like WWE may be trying to bring back the full act, not just one piece of it.
Bill had some real moments in AEW, including a tag title run with Ricky Saints and later time in Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree faction, but his absence from TV made it pretty clear something was off. Now, if this report plays out, he could be trading AEW for a WWE reunion that has apparently been in motion for a while.
So yeah, Big Bill might be leaving AEW quietly, but his next move could be anything but quiet if WWE reunites him with Enzo Amore.
