ianca Belair is not spending her WWE absence glued to the product. In fact, watching too much wrestling only makes being away from the ring harder.
While answering questions on her Instagram Stories, Belair was asked whether she still watches WWE to keep up with everything or if she has treated her time away as a complete detox. The EST admitted she does not watch much because seeing WWE immediately gives her the urge to get back in the ring.
“I don’t watch a lot. If I watch, I get the itch and miss it.”
Belair has not completely shut WWE out. She said she will tune in to watch her husband compete before turning the show off, and she occasionally checks in on the women she is close with.
“I kind of only watch my hubby and turn it off. I watch my girlies from time to time.”
That answer makes it clear Belair is not sitting at home studying every episode of RAW and SmackDown during her time away. She is keeping up with the people closest to her, but she is also protecting herself from the frustration that comes with watching everybody else perform while she cannot.
Belair has already been away from the ring for an extended period after the finger injury she suffered at WrestleMania 41 turned out to be much worse than first believed. The injury involved a crushed knuckle joint and eventually required surgery in February. Her recovery took longer than expected, and her pregnancy extended her absence from WWE. However, Belair recently revealed that the additional time away has allowed her to put more work into physical therapy.
Belair may not be watching much wrestling right now, but that does not mean she has lost interest in returning. Her own words suggest the opposite. Watching WWE gives her “the itch,” and that feeling will likely grow stronger as her finger continues healing and she moves closer to the next stage of her recovery.
