Becky Lynch’s daughter may be worried about getting “boo-boos” in wrestling, and Mom knows exactly why. Lynch rattled off some of the damage she’s taken during her own career, including a broken nose, a separated shoulder and concussions.

During her appearance on the Harland Highway Podcast, Lynch had just revealed that her five-year-old daughter enjoys wrestling but doesn’t currently want to become a wrestler herself because she’s scared of getting hurt. That prompted Harland Williams to turn the question back on Becky and ask about the worst “boo-boos” she’s dealt with in the ring. Lynch didn’t single out one injury. Instead, she ran through several of them before pointing out that none managed to keep her down for an especially long stretch.

“Well, you know, I, um, I broke my nose and like separated my shoulder, concussions. But, you know, nothing, nothing that’s been debilitating. Nothing that’s kept me down for a long period of time.”

Fans certainly remember the broken nose. Lynch suffered that injury during the infamous November 2018 RAW invasion when Nia Jax caught her in the face, leaving Becky bloodied and forcing her out of her scheduled Survivor Series match against Ronda Rousey.

The separated shoulder was another major one. Lynch suffered the injury against Bianca Belair at SummerSlam 2022 and later revealed that taking the Glam Slam was what did the damage. She still finished the match before the injury ultimately kept her out of action for months. That history also explains why Lynch understands her daughter being hesitant about stepping into the ring. She said her daughter likes wrestling, but actually doing what Mom and Dad do is a completely different conversation.

“She likes it. She likes wrestling, but I think she gets scared that she would have to do it because she is — she does get scared of — it’s not easy.”

Broken noses, concussions and a shoulder that put her on the shelf for months haven’t stopped Lynch, but she’s clearly under no illusion about what wrestling does to the body. Her daughter might only call them “boo-boos,” but Becky has the battle scars to know those boo-boos can get ugly fast.
