Bayley made it clear that her return wasn’t some one-night revenge attack. During the WWE RAW episode for September 14, 2026, WWE aired a pre-taped backstage promo where Bayley addressed Lyra Valkyria directly and made it clear she plans to stay in her way.
Bayley said she intends to put herself in Lyra’s path before Valkyria can put herself in her own path, making this feud sound a lot more personal than simply costing someone a match.
She also made it clear that she’s finished allowing anyone to use her emotions against her, saying this will be the last time someone takes advantage of the way she feels. Bayley then closed the message with a promise that she’s going to remind everyone exactly why she considers herself the standard of women’s wrestling.
The warning comes one week after Bayley made her surprise return during the September 7 episode of RAW and completely wrecked Valkyria’s Money in the Bank opportunity.
Valkyria appeared to have her qualifying match won after hitting Maxxine Dupri with the Night Wing, only for Bayley to suddenly yank the referee out of the ring before the three-count. Sol Ruca capitalized seconds later, hitting the Sol Snatcher and stealing the victory while Valkyria was still trying to process what had happened. Bayley then took things even further by attacking Valkyria after the bell and attempting to put her through a table before Lyra escaped.
The comeback had been brewing for a while. Ringside News previously noted that creative pitches were being discussed for Bayley’s RAW return before she finally resurfaced. There had also been questions surrounding her contract status, though Bayley was believed to have re-signed with WWE as the company prepared for her next chapter.
Bayley already cost Lyra Valkyria a spot in Money in the Bank, and now she’s promising that the attack was only the beginning. If Valkyria thought last week settled anything, Bayley just made it very clear that she sees this as something much bigger.
