Bayley still isn’t back on WWE television, but she definitely noticed fans asking where she went. With her contract situation still hanging over everything, Bayley has now joined the conversation herself.
Bayley took to her Instagram story and uploaded a photo from the August 10 edition of Monday Night RAW showing a fan holding a sign that simply read:
“Where’s Bayley?”
The sign appeared in the crowd during Becky Lynch’s promo segment, and Bayley choosing to focus on it herself is certainly interesting considering she hasn’t appeared on WWE television since her loss to Lyra Valkyria at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
There’s a pretty important reason that question still doesn’t have an answer. Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Bayley still hasn’t signed a new WWE contract and that the decision about what comes next is apparently in her hands.
“The only thing I’ve heard from them when it comes to Bayley is that Bayley has a decision to make. So that’s the story, Bayley has a decision to make. She has not signed a contract. When she signs a contract I’m sure she’ll be back on TV.”
WWE has already given itself an easy explanation for Bayley’s disappearance. Lyra Valkyria defeated her at Saturday Night’s Main Event before hitting a Nightwing onto the steel steps. Two days later on RAW, Valkyria claimed she had “run Bayley out of here.” According to Meltzer, that angle could work regardless of what Bayley decides.
“I think the situation with her is if she signs a contract she’ll probably come back and attack Lyra, and that’ll probably be her storyline. If she doesn’t sign, then she doesn’t come back and the Madison Square Garden thing was a write-off.”
Bayley hasn’t exactly made figuring out that decision any easier. She recently trained alongside AJ Lee and Mercedes Moné before posting “all or nothing, baby” alongside a song called “All In,” naturally setting off AEW speculation while her WWE future remains uncertain.
Bottom line: WWE fans want the answer. Bayley clearly saw the question. Until she makes that contract decision, though, she may be the only person who can actually answer it.
