Baron Corbin wants Indianapolis to make Trick Williams’ night absolutely miserable. The former United States Champion isn’t just asking WWE fans to boo Trick when SmackDown rolls into town — he wants them to stop singing his entrance song, boycott Lil Yachty’s music and mess with Trick’s head so badly that he might actually cry.
Corbin made the pitch while appearing on the Hammer & Nigel Show, where he was asked who Indianapolis fans should boo when WWE comes to town. He didn’t hesitate, because after losing the United States Championship back to Trick Williams, Corbin clearly still has plenty to say about both Trick and the rapper who helped make that title change happen. Corbin wants the crowd to completely kill the atmosphere Trick normally gets during his entrance.
“Trick Williams has my title right now. I laid him out with a kendo stick on Friday. He was one and done. He was lying on the ground crying like a baby. We can boo him. We boycott Yachty’s music and boo him as well. It would get in their heads in that did happen. If they walk out and they are not chanting his theme song that made him so popular, I think it would make his head explode. ‘What’s going on, people don’t like me?’ He might even cry. I’m all for that.”
Corbin has been locked into this mess ever since he returned to WWE on the July 10 episode of SmackDown and immediately got back into the title picture. His comeback quickly turned into a war with Trick Williams, and things only got crazier once Lil Yachty started getting involved.
Yachty eventually became much more than somebody standing at ringside. After dropping a diss track aimed directly at Corbin, the rapper found himself in a five-minute challenge with Corbin at Sunday Night’s Main Event. All Yachty had to do was survive, and that was enough to make Corbin’s night fall apart. Once Yachty lasted the full five minutes and earned Trick Williams an immediate title opportunity, Trick got his shot and walked out with Corbin’s United States Championship.
That’s exactly why Corbin wants fans to go after both of them now. He doesn’t just want Trick booed — he wants Yachty’s music shut down too, turning one of Trick’s biggest crowd weapons against him before the bell even rings. Corbin also opened up about just how weird his WWE career has become, especially after going from the NFL to a world where celebrities, fighters and athletes can suddenly show up looking for a piece of the action. For him, that chaos is part of the fun.
“It’s been an insanely fun path, and that’s my favorite thing about WWE. You never know kind of what you’re going to get. There is insanity to it all. The entertainment factor plays a huge role. You have these celebrities come through the doors. You have legends and ahtletes from other worlds. UFC fighters, boxers. It’s an opportunity for me to beat up people from all walks of life.”
That attitude has basically defined Corbin’s latest WWE run. He came back, went straight after championship gold, got dragged into a feud with one of WWE’s hottest stars and somehow ended up trying to beat up Lil Yachty in the middle of it all.Now Corbin wants Indianapolis to help him finish the job mentally. If the crowd really does stop singing Trick’s theme and starts booing Yachty on sight, Corbin may get exactly what he wants before he ever has to pick up another kendo stick.
