Ethan Page has pulled off a major upset on WWE RAW, defeating Chad Gable to become the new Intercontinental Champion. The title change took place during the WWE RAW episode on November 2, 2026 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, with Page ending Gable’s championship reign after a hard-fought opening match.
Gable wasted little time going after Page, using his amateur wrestling background to control the early exchanges. Page quickly turned things around by targeting Gable’s neck and upper back, repeatedly driving him into the turnbuckles and wearing him down with elbows, neckbreakers, and a DDT.
The champion eventually fought back by attacking Page’s leg, repeatedly driving it into the ring post before connecting with a series of dragon screws. Gable followed with consecutive German suplexes and trapped Page in the ankle lock, but the challenger managed to reach the ropes.
Things got even more physical when Gable delivered an Olympic Slam onto the announce table. Back inside the ring, Gable connected with a moonsault for a near fall, but Page refused to stay down.
Both men continued trading big moves as the match went on. Gable delivered an overhead belly-to-belly superplex and later connected with Chaos Theory, but neither was enough to finish Page. The challenger answered with a cutter and a powerslam from the turnbuckles, coming dangerously close to capturing the championship.
Gable appeared to have the match under control when he locked in another ankle lock. However, Page managed to send him crashing into the turnbuckles before rolling through into an Egoplex for the three-count.
The victory gave Ethan Page the Intercontinental Championship, ending Chad Gable’s reign in the opening match of RAW. Page survived multiple submission attempts and several near falls before finally putting the champion away.
With WWE Crown Jewel approaching, Page now has a championship around his waist, while Gable is left dealing with a major setback after coming up short in Brooklyn. The result also raises questions about whether Gable will pursue an immediate rematch or whether another challenger will step forward.
