There is some backstage frustration over how Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio have been used since WrestleMania 42

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there has been mild internal frustration and criticism over how WWE has used Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio since WrestleMania. This comes as Morgan remains Women’s World Champion without a title defense during this run, while Dominik has barely wrestled despite holding the AAA Mega Championship.

“We have learned that in the weeks following WrestleMania, there has been some mild internal frustration and criticism regarding the utilization of both Liv Morgan and Dominic Mysterio.”

For Liv Morgan, the original plan was apparently to keep her storyline with Stephanie Vaquer going. However, once Vaquer got injured, WWE did not make many changes to keep Morgan locked in as a central figure on Monday Night Raw.

“According to a source within WWE, creative plans for Morgan originally included a continuation of her storyline with Stephanie Vaquer. However, following Vaquer’s injury, there was little adjustment made to ensure Morgan remained a consistent focal point of Monday Night Raw after those plans were altered.”

As for Dominik Mysterio, the issue does not appear to be related to any lack of faith in him. The report stated that his limited in-ring activity is more about WWE’s current creative priorities, even though there has still been an effort to keep him visible as a character.

“As for Mysterio, a source indicated his recent lack of in-ring activity is more a reflection of current creative priorities than any concern surrounding the performer himself. We’re told there has been an effort to keep Dom as visible as a character, even if meaningful match opportunities have been limited in recent weeks.”

The good news for both stars is that more could be coming. Dominik’s involvement is expected to increase as WWE builds toward TripleMania, while Morgan is also expected to become more active on Raw soon, regardless of Vaquer’s status.

“That said, we’re hearing Mysterio’s involvement in ongoing storylines is expected to increase as the road to TripleMania continues. Meanwhile, sources indicate Morgan should become more active on Monday nights in the very near future, regardless of Vaquer’s status.”

TC also weighed in on the situation and suggested WWE creative may be dealing with some Judgment Day fatigue after years of booking the group through several lineup changes, injuries, and shifting directions.

“I have to imagine that those in creative have a little bit of Judgment Day fatigue. This has been a group that they’ve had to book for years and years at this point in time. With members coming, members going, directions changing.”

He also said there is merit to the frustration, especially since the Judgment Day’s booking has become a common talking point among viewers.

“But I think there is some merit to the frustration. We’ve heard it a lot online. We’ve heard it a lot on our live show on Mondays. A lot of the fans talking to us about the Bloodline or the Judgment Day’s booking as a whole. So I can understand the frustration.”

At the same time, TC said WWE may just need more time to let people heal up and get the creative where it needs to be. He also pointed to Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez as names WWE still has strong interest in, both as a team and as individuals.

“I think if you kind of give it a little bit more time for people to heal up and get to 100 so you can do exactly what you want to do. I still want to see a lot more from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. I know a lot of people inside the company are very high on Roxanne and Raquel as a team and as individuals as well.”

TC then made it clear he still sees huge value in Liv Morgan, calling her a strong talker and someone who always gets a reaction. He also believes Dominik can get back to being a top heat magnet, especially if WWE leans into his AAA Mega Title run.

“I understand the frustration, but I mean, you can’t really go wrong with Liv Morgan. She is such a good talent and great on the mic. No matter where she is, whether she’s a title holder or chasing for a title, Liv Morgan is really money in the bank, so to speak. And I think Dominic Mysterio can get back to that point. We saw him a year and a half ago where he had just the world in his palm. Heat magnet.

If you kind of give a little bit more to that, especially if he ends up finding himself defending that AAA title against a guy like Grande Americano down there in Mexico, I can see him kind of getting back to that level of hatred he once had in his peak of Dirty Dom.”

Morgan and Dominik are clearly not being written off internally, but this shows WWE’s handling of both stars has caused some concern. With Morgan expected to get more active on Raw and Dominik’s role growing on the road to TripleMania, the next few weeks could say a lot about whether WWE can get both acts back on track.
