The July 27 episode of WWE RAW took place at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. With RAW returning to the arena that hosted its historic Netflix debut, the stage was set for another eventful night as the company headed toward SummerSlam.
The Women’s Intercontinental Championship was on the line as Sol Ruca defended the title against Raquel Rodriguez. This match went down as the show wrapped up its second hour.
Sol Ruca entered looking to continue her reign against one of the most physically imposing challengers on the WWE roster, while Rodriguez was determined to add another championship to her resume.
Judgment Day has been on a streak of ill-gotten wins in recent memory. They just aligned themselves with Ryan Garcia as well. Then it was time for Raquel Rodriguez to get a shot at Sol Ruce and her title.
Raquel Rodriguez suffered a busted nose during this match. Sol Ruce fought back even though Rodriguez used her power advantage to throw Sol around the ring. This match kept going with Sol Ruca applying every bit of offense she could, but Raquel kept kicking out of everything the champion could throw at her.
Liv Morgan showed up and tried to help Raquel Rodriguez out, but then IYO Sky ran down. Morgan jumped IYO, and they fought around the ringside area. The two will battle on Saturday at SummerSlam. During this, Roxanne Perez was able to stop Rol Ruca from hitting a Sol Snatcher. Raquel hit her finisher after that and made the pin the win the Women’s IC Championship. This marks her first singles championship on WWE RAW.
