Tom Brady hasn’t stepped inside a WWE ring yet, but Alexa Bliss already thinks he—and every other celebrity who tries it—is in for a rude awakening.
With Brady’s confrontation with Logan Paul fueling speculation about a future WWE match, TMZ Sports asked Bliss what she thinks whenever athletes and celebrities decide to cross over into professional wrestling.
Rather than questioning whether Brady belongs, Bliss said the experience itself is what changes people’s perspective. No matter how accomplished someone is in another sport, she believes nothing truly prepares them for what WWE demands physically.
“I think it’s always fun when someone comes into our world because then they learn how difficult it actually is and how intense it actually is. You know, because there’s a lot of people that come from other backgrounds and everything, have amazing athletic ability, but nothing prepares your body for what goes on in WWE.”
Bliss knows that feeling firsthand. Laughing, she admitted her own first day in WWE was far tougher than she expected and called it a “rude awakening.” She also credited WWE’s locker room for helping newcomers adjust, saying veterans go out of their way to make sure everyone stays safe while learning the ropes.
“Especially my first day. My first day I was not prepared and it’s a rude awakening.”
When the conversation turned to whether WWE stars ever get tired of celebrities entering the business, Bliss took the opportunity to poke a little fun at Logan Paul.
“No, but you have to ask Logan Paul that question because he did that whole segment where he was like, ‘We don’t want outsiders coming in.’ And he’s an outsider.”
Despite the joke, Bliss made it clear she’s a fan of celebrity crossovers—as long as they’re willing to put in the work. She pointed to names like Bad Bunny and Logan Paul as examples of celebrities who earned respect by taking wrestling seriously instead of treating it like a publicity stunt.
“I’m always excited with anybody that comes into our world because you learn a lot of respect for it and you learn how difficult it is. To see people come in, like Bad Bunny, who was so respectful and trained seriously hard… Logan’s come in, he’s trained hard. Whenever anyone else comes into our world and fully embraces it, it’s always fun.”
Bliss’s comments come as speculation continues to grow that Brady’s recent confrontations with Logan Paul could eventually lead to a WWE match. Nothing has been announced, but if the NFL legend does make the jump, Bliss believes he’ll quickly discover what countless athletes have learned before him—there’s no way to understand WWE until you experience it yourself.
