Bron Breakker has a lot to prove when he steps into the ring with Oba Femi tomorrow. Femi has already spent weeks getting the better of him physically and verbally, but there’s another problem hanging over Breakker heading into their Sunday Night’s Main Event match.
Breakker and Femi are two of WWE’s biggest stars of the current generation, and their match gives both men a chance to prove who really belongs at the top. Femi certainly hasn’t lacked confidence during the build, repeatedly making it clear that he considers himself superior to Breakker.
The numbers suggest Breakker could use a big win too. Breakker has wrestled 45 matches in 2026 and lost 31 of them. That works out to a 68.9% loss rate, while his 12 victories leave him with a win rate of just 26.7%.
That record includes more than just major televised matches, so it doesn’t tell the entire story of how WWE presents Breakker. Still, losing 31 times while winning only 12 is hardly the kind of momentum he’d want before trying to put Femi in his place.
That becomes even more interesting after Femi recently questioned whether Breakker deserves to become one of WWE’s top stars at all. Speaking with ABC 33/40, Femi claimed Breakker believes that position should belong to him because of the Steiner name.
“I think he wants it because he thinks it’s his birthright. I think he wants it because, you know, he’s a Steiner and his family is ingrained in wrestling history and all that stuff. There’s always someone bigger, better, faster, stronger out there. And unfortunately for Bronny Boy, that person is in the same ecosystem as him right now.”
Breakker now gets the perfect opportunity to shut all of that down. The record isn’t pretty and Femi has had his number so far, but beating Oba when it actually matters would go a long way toward changing both conversations at once.
