AJ Styles thinks WWE has something major with Chad Gable right now, and he doesn’t want the company to waste it.

While speaking on the Phenomenally Retro podcast, Styles reacted to Gable’s momentum after his bloody Mask vs. Mask match against Ludwig Kaiser at AAA Noche de Los Grandes. Styles said Gable is hotter than ever right now, and WWE needs to take advantage of it, else WWE would be dumb.

“I think he’s got to he’s a bigger superstar than he’s ever been at this very moment. And if we don’t capitalize, and I say we because I’m part of WWE, we don’t capitalize on this, we’re dumb. We’re dummies.”

AJ Styles then made it clear that Gable should be taken seriously because of his legitimate wrestling background. He said nobody watching should think they could handle Gable in a real fight: “Chad Gable is a legit freaking pro wrestler. There’s no way somebody in the crowd is going, ‘I think I could take Chad Gable.’”

Styles explained that Gable’s size doesn’t matter because his skill, look, and ability make him dangerous in the ring. He then doubled down by saying anyone who understands wrestling knows Gable can absolutely handle himself.

“Dude, legit—he will drop you on your head and there’s nothing you can do about it. He will scoop you up and drop you. This guy is legit, and everything about him—his look, his ability—everything about him is scary. If you know anything about collegiate wrestling or pro wrestling, this guy can take care of business. So yeah—no, he’s legit. I don’t care. It has nothing to do with his size.”

Gable’s momentum has only grown since losing his mask to Kaiser in AAA, with JBL also praising the match and calling Gable the best wrestler in the world. Gable has since returned to SmackDown, where he had a moment with Rey Fenix, and now Styles is making it clear WWE should not let this run cool off.
