AEW Dynamite Results (5/13/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights

The show opens up with Excalibur, Taz and Tony Schiavone welcoming us and they give us a run down of tonight’s Dynamite.

We then see Renee Paquette catch up with MJF earlier in the day as he was entering the arena. It is announced that if Darby Allin wins against Konosuke Takeshita, MJF has to sign a contract putting his hair on the line. MJF refuses to answer whether he is willing to put his hair on the line and he is met by a whole series of bald people. Tommaso Ciampa then shows MJF his bald head and Ricochet confronts him, telling MJF he’ll look good, but not as good as him.

Tommaso Ciampa then makes his way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Dogs and AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR follow with Stokely. Orange Cassidy then makes his way down to the ring next and The Young Bucks, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage follow.

10-Man Tag Team Match: Cage & Cope (Christian Cage and “The Rated R Superstar” Adam Copeland), The Conglomeration’s AEW World Trios Champion “Freshly Squeezed” Orange Cassidy and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) vs. AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax “The Axe” Harwood), “The Psycho Killer” Tommaso Ciampa and The Dogs (David Finlay and Clark Connors)

The match starts off with Matt Jackson and Clark Conners fighting at ringside. Cassidy then tosses Finlay into the barricade. In the ring, the camera focus on Copeland and Harwood exchanging blows. Harwood then tosses Cassidy, who fires back. Harwood then chops Cassidy. Harwood and Cassidy are up on the top rope. Harwood then superplexes Cassidy. He then comes back with a stunt dog millionaire on Harwood. Stokely then grabs the boot of Cassidy, allowing Wheeler to get in a cheap shot. Cassidy is in the corner of the heels. Ciampa is in and he chops Cassidy and kicks him down. Cassidy then tries for a tag, but Ciampa cuts him off. Harwood is then tagged in as he gives the middle finger to the fans.

Cassidy then makes the tag as Nick Jackson is in. He then takes down FTR with a double drop kick. He then sends Harwood to the outside with a kick. The Dogs are then tagged in. Nick then takes them down. The Bucks then hit a double bulldog on The Dogs. Nick then goes over the top rope, taking down FTR and Ciampa on the floor. The Bucks then focus on The Dogs, dropping them. Stokely then grabs the legs of The Bucks, keeping them from superkicking The Dogs. Stokely is then sent to the floor and The Bucks superkick FTR and the The Dogs. Ciampa then comes in and is met with a superkick by The Bucks. Cage is then tagged in. He then takes down FTR as The Bucks superkick Wheeler. Cage then covers Wheeler for only a two count.

Stokely is on commentary, talking about Cage trying to steal his watch earlier in the match. Cage is then taken down as he tries to tag in, but the heels pull the faces off the apron to avoid Cage from tagging in. Cage then looks for a killswitch on Harwood, but both men collide heads and go down. Copeland then makes it on the apron as he is tagged in. He then sends David Finlay to the outside. He then drops Clark Connors. The Young Bucks then double team Finlay. Copeland then covers Connors for only a two count. The Young Bucks then double team Connors in the corner. Cassidy then comes in and hits a shot on Connors.

Cage then drops Ciampa and FTR. The Bucks are up on the top rope and they hit FTR with big elbows. Copeland then hits Connors with an elbow and covers him for only a two count. The Bucks then leap over the ropes, landing on FTR. Cassidy then puts Cage’s hands in his pockets. He then sends Cassidy to the floor to land on FTR for offense on the outside. Copeland is then hit with a Shatter Machine by FTR and Cassidy breaks it up. Ciampa then comes in, hitting Matt Jackson with a knee. He is then leveled with a killswitch by Cage. Connors then sends Cage to the floor. The Bucks and Cage then superkick Connors. Cassidy then hits Connors with an Orange Punch. Copeland then hits a big spear on Connors, allowing Cassidy to cover Connors for the win.

After the match, Cage is shown bleeding from his right eye. Cassidy then holds a young fan at ringside dressed like him.

We then get a vignette with Will Ospreay training with The Death Riders. We see Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay have a training session before Dynamite with The Death Riders. They talk about Will Ospreay’s Super Juniors win years ago. Moxley says it felt like a lifetime ago, but Ospreay is more dangerous now. Moxley then urges Ospreay to give it his all in his match later on the show.

We then get a look at the history of the Stadium Stampede Matches and the upcoming match at Double or Nothing.

We then get a promo of Chris Jericho and Ricochet ahead of his big match against The Demand and Mark Davis. Andrade joins Ricochet as a part of The Demand’s team and so do The Dogs. The Stadium Stampede match is official and it will be The Demand, Mark Davis, Andrade and The Dogs vs. Chris Jericho, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, Jack Perry, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.

Mike Bailey then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and his opponent is already in the ring.

Singles Match: JetSpeed’s “Speedball” Mike Bailey vs. Westbrook

The match starts off with Bailey jawing at Westbrook. They then shake hands as Westbrook goes for a quick pin. Westbrook then goes to the ropes and looks like he slipped. Bailey then kicks Westbrook, dropping him. Bailey then comes off the top and hits an Ultima Weapon on Westbrook for the win.

Justin Roberts then introduces Kevin Knight, who is already in the ring. The challenger is Brian Cage and after a 14-month hiatus from a knee injury, he makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night.

AEW TNT Championship Open Challenge Match: JetSpeed’s Kevin Knight (c) vs. “The Machine” Brian Cage

The match starts off with Knight chopping Cage, but its has no affect on him. Cage then picks up Knight who tosses him, but Knight lands on his feet. Knight then attempts a shoulder block, but Cage won’t go down. Cage then hits a big kick on the face of Knight. Cage then sends Knight headfirst to the turnbuckle. Cage then hits Knight with a shoulder block to the mid-section. Cage then tosses Knight to the corner again. He then hits Knight with a big forearm. Cage then puts the boot to Knight’s neck. Cage then throws Knight to the corner, then clotheslines him. Cage is up on the apron as Knight drop kicks him to the floor.

Knight then goes to the floor as Cage goes to the ring and runs the ropes, connecting with Knight on the floor. Cage then picks up Knight and drops him into the barricade. Cage then covers Knight for only a two count. Knight then pops up on Cage, but he catches him. Knight then comes back with a springboard drop kick on Cage and both men are down. Cage is then sent to the floor. Knight then runs the ropes, leaps over the ropes and is caught by Cage. Knight then leaps up and takes down Cage. Knight then picks up Cage and sends him back in the ring.

Mike Bailey then kicks Lance Archer to avoid interference. Cage then picks up Knight and drops him. Cage then covers Knight for only a two count. Archer then tries to choke slam Bailey, but he counters it and is still dropped by Archer. Knight then DDTs Cage and covers him for only a two count. Cage is up on the second rope. Knight then gets caught and picked up by Cage, but Knight reverses it and he sends Cage down. Knight is up on the rope and he hits a huge UFO Splash for the win.

After the match, Bailey grabs a microphone and congratulates Knight on retaining the TNT Championship against Cage. Knight then thanks Bailey and says he’s still standing, but admits he couldn’t get the job done last week while challenging Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship. Bailey then tells Knight not to worry and says he’ll be a future AEW World Champion and Knight returns the sentiment before Bailey says he wants Takeshita as they were rivals in Japan. Bailey then says he is coming after the AEW World Championship and he calls out the winner of tonight’s title match.

The Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament bracket is then revealed with matches starting at Double or Nothing.

We then see Jack Perry talk crap to Mark Davis and address his loss to Mark Davis at last Saturday’s Fairway To Hell.

Will Ospreay then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Ace Austin follows.

Singles Match: “The Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay vs. Bang Bang Gang’s Ace Austin

The match starts off with Ospreay going for a handshake. Austin then gives a quick handshake. Ospreay then grabs the arm of Austin as Austin drops down, trying to break the hold, but Ospreay holds on. Ospreay then takes down Austin as Austin gets out of the hold. Both men then lock up hands as Ospreay pushes on Austin who fights back. Austin then takes down Ospreay with a pinning attempt. Austin is then flipped off by Ospreay. Ospreay then stomps on the left elbow of Austin. Ospreay then works on the arm and shoulder of Austin. Ospreay then hits a boot on the head of Austin. Ospreay is then taken down by Austin.

Austin then hits a neckbreaker on Ospreay. Ospreay then comes back with an elbow, but Austin reverses it wrenching on the neck of Ospreay. He then breaks out of the hold. Austin is then kicked in the mid-section by Ospreay. Austin then picks up Ospreay and drops him. Austin then covers him for only a two count. Austin then hits a clothesline on Ospreay in the corner and delivers several more on him. He then hits Ospreay with an enzuigiri to the back of Ospreay’s ear as Ospreay sits on the top rope and he hits a hurricanrana to send Ospreay crashing off the top rope and places Ospreay on the adjacent top rope before he joins Ospreay.

Ospreay then escapes and hits a powerbomb to Austin as Austin flies off the ropes. He then goes for a pin, but Austin kicks out. Ospreay and Austin then deliver chops and kicks on one another, but Austin hits Ospreay with a back heel kick. Ospreay then responds with a kick of his own to Austin, but Austin hits a spinning kick on Ospreay’s head and follows it up with a back body drop. Ospreay then responds with a Hidden Blade and he cinches in a Fujiwara Armbar on Austin and Austin taps out.

After the match, Ospreay goes to shake the hand of Austin. Both men then shake hands as Ospreay says something to Austin and points to him. Austin then leaves the ring as Ospreay stands in the ring. The music of Samoa Joe then hits as The Opps, minus HOOK comes out. Joe has a mic and he mocks the “Ospreay” chants. The fans then sing Ospreay’s name. Joe then says in the fast few weeks Ospreay has had a hard time hearing him. Joe then talks about the two meeting in the first round of the Owen Hart Tournament. Joe then says he chose differently and could have chosen to be with The Opps, but is a lap dog for Jon Moxley and The Death Riders. Joe then says he will make Ospreay suffer the consequences. Shibata and Anthony Bowens then head to the ring. The music of The Death Riders then hit as they make their way out from the crowd to join Ospreay in the ring. Bowens and Shibata then back off as Ospreay looks around. He then looks right at Jon Moxley.

We then head to the back, where Renee Paquette is talking to Don Callis and Konosuke Takeshita. MJF then comes in to interrupt the interview and tells Takeshita that he is going to defeat Darby Allin tonight and will go to Double or Nothing to beat Okada. Callis then thanks MJF for the pep talk, but MJF says he didn’t mean any of it because he is having a panic attack over possibly losing his hair. Andrade then comes in and flips his hair at MJF. Callis then says Takeshita will win tonight. Andrade then asks him how he knows and says next time it is his turn.

The brackets for the Women’s side of the Owen Hart tournament is then revealed.

We then see The Conglomeration and Kyle O’Reilly says he wants a shot at the Continental Championship. Roderick Strong then calls in Mark Briscoe to come in for the word for the day. Briscoe then says its reunification. He then talks about Collision being in his home state and throws out a challenge to Tommaso Ciampa for next week’s Dynamite.

Triangle Of Madness then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Hikaru Shida and The Brawling Birds follow.

Trios Match: Triangle of Madness (AEW Women’s World Champion “The Toxic Spider” Thekla, Julia Hart and Skye Blue) vs. The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) and Hikaru Shida

The match starts off with Jamie Hayter and Thekla. Blue then attacks Hayter from behind as we have all six women in the ring. Shida then drops Thekla, sending her to the floor. Shida and Blue are on the outside. Hayter then lays rights into Thekla on the apron. Hayter then snap suplexes Thekla in the center of the ring. Blue and Windsor are on top of the barricade and Hayter is down. Windsor and Hayter then pick up Blue and send her face first into the ring post. Thekla then flies over the ropes, taking down The Brawling Birds.

Blue and Thekla then take down The Brawling Birds. Thekla then leaps over Hayter and drops Thekla with a high boot. Shida is then tagged in. She then hits a big knee on Thekla and Hart, who was then tagged in. Thekla is then tagged back in. Shida then suplexes Thekla. Shida is then hit in the mid-section by Thekla. She then hits Shida in the jaw. Hart and Blue then double team Shida with thrust kicks. Thekla then spears Shida and covers her, but The Brawling Birds make the save. Windsor is then tagged in. She then hits Thekla in the back of the head and drops her with a short lariat. Hayter is then pulled to outside by Blue and sent head first into the ring post.

Hayter then recovers and hits a back breaker on Blue. Hart is then dropped with a big powerbomb as Hart is legal. Blue then tags herself in and Windsor headbutts Blue. Hayter and Windsor then sandwich Blue, but Thekla grabs her AEW Women’s World Championship belt and hits Hayter with it to cause the disqualification.

After the match, Triangle of Madness continue beating down Windsor and Hayter. Referees then try breaking things up, but Hart sprays black mist into one of their faces. With Shida having disappeared from the ringside area, Willow Nightingale, Mina Shirakawa and Thunder Rosa run out to the ring to come to The Brawling Birds’ aid.

We then get a vignette taking a special look at RUSH.

Konosuke Takeshita then makes his way down to the ring for the main event of the night with Don Callis and Darby Allin follows.

AEW World Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. Don Callis Family’s NJPW World Television Champion “The Alpha” Konosuke Takeshita

The match starts off with Takeshita sending Allin crashing off the ring apron with a big boot. Both men return to the ring, but Allin looks to hit a shoulder tackle on Takeshita off the middle rope. Takeshita then blocks it to send Allin crashing into the mat and follows it up with a back body drop to him and delivers some knees on Allin on the outside of the ring and drags the ring steps away from the corner. Takeshita then follows it up with a Blue Thunder Bomb on Allin off the ring apron.

Takeshita then hits a German suplex to Allin off the top rope and goes for a pin. Allin then kicks out, but El Clon appears at ringside, opening the door for Callis to hand Takeshita MJF’s Dynamite Diamond Ring to use. Takeshita then throws the Dynamite Diamond Ring out of the ring not wanting to use it, but Allin takes advantage and sends Takeshita crashing into the mat.

Takeshita then places Allin on the top rope and joins him up there, but Allin hits Takeshita with a Code Red off the ropes and pins Takeshita. Allin then climbs to the top rope and sets up for a Coffin Drop, but Takeshita gets his knees up and hits a jumping knee on Allin. He then gets him up, but Allin escapes and cinches in a Scorpion Death Lock on Takeshita. He then hits a couple of Coffin Drops on Takeshita and pins him for the win.

After the match, Allin demands that MJF come to the ring for their Double or Nothing AEW World Championship Title vs. Hair Match contract signing. MJF then obliges, but hesitates to sign the contract.

MJF says he is happy for Allin and hopes he has had fun holding the AEW World Championship that belongs to him, but says there is a small part of him that knows this will be Allin’s last time holding the AEW World Championship. MJF then says Allin is a stuntman and says nothing matters anymore than a legacy. MJF then says Allin’s legacy will be a kid who had 15 minutes of fame and has had no impact as AEW World Champion. MJF then says the fans will know deep down that Allin just got lucky and was too reckless to stay on top. MJF then says his legacy will be the guy who became an AEW World Champion at 30 years old. MJF then says he’ll go down as the greatest of all time.

Allin then says only someone like MJF who’s vain would think the number one thing in life is legacy. Allin then says he doesn’t care about legacy, but rather the present moment and demands that MJF sign the contract so that he can make him a “bald headed b****” at Double or Nothing.

MJF then gives in and signs the contract and he delivers right hands on Allin using his Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF then hits Allin with the Dynamite Diamond Ring to level him and grabs the AEW World Championship belt, then holds it over his head and stands tall. MJF then drags Allin up the ropes looking to hit a Tombstone on him, but Kevin Knight comes to Allin’s aid. MJF then retreats up the entrance ramp and to the back as Knight helps Allin up and the show comes to a close.
