Avery Styles didn’t just show up at TNA Lockdown 2026 to make an appearance — AJ Styles’ son used the Chicago pay-per-view to announce that he has officially signed with TNA Wrestling.
TNA had already confirmed ahead of the August 23 show that Avery would be appearing at Credit Union 1 Arena, but the company kept exactly what he would be doing under wraps. That mystery was finally answered when Avery came out during Lockdown and revealed that he is now officially part of the TNA roster.
The moment quickly got even more interesting when Frankie Kazarian came out to confront the second-generation wrestler. Kazarian brought up his long history with AJ Styles, dating back to their years together in TNA, before turning his attention directly to Avery.
Kazarian told Avery that because of his history with his father, he could trust him. Considering Kazarian’s current attitude in TNA, that immediately raised questions about exactly what he has in mind for the young Styles.
Avery only made his professional wrestling debut in June and has already started gaining experience on the independent scene, including appearances for GCW. Now, just months into his career, he has officially signed with the same company where his father became one of the biggest stars in TNA history.
AJ Styles helped define TNA during its early years, becoming a multiple-time World Champion, X-Division Champion and Tag Team Champion before leaving the company in 2013. More than a decade later, the Styles name is officially back on the TNA roster — only this time, it belongs to his son.
Avery Styles signing with TNA was already a major moment for someone this early into his career, but Kazarian immediately inserting himself into the situation makes it look like TNA may already have a story waiting for him.
