Adam Page is back on AEW television. Hangman returned during the opening segment of the July 29 episode of AEW Dynamite after being missing from television since July 11.
The segment centered around Will Ospreay confronting Jon Moxley and making it clear that he was done with him. As Ospreay was leaving, Page appeared on the screen and stopped him.
Page offered Ospreay his support and said he was willing to help with the situation. Ospreay turned him down and made it clear that he believed he could handle it on his own. Hangman didn’t force the issue, but he still let Ospreay know that the offer was there before the segment ended.
Page’s return comes after weeks of questions about his absence. He had not appeared since delivering an emotional promo on Collision following his loss to MJF at Revolution.
That loss came with a major consequence, as Page can no longer challenge for the AEW World Championship. He responded by teasing a new direction and suggesting that he would go after other titles in the company.
Then he disappeared from television. AEW already had creative plans in place for Page heading into All In, and his return on Dynamite appears to be the start of that story.
The big question now is why Page wants to help Ospreay and whether the two men will end up working together against Moxley.
