Britt Baker’s unexpected ALS Ice Bucket Challenge nomination didn’t go unanswered. After surprising wrestling fans by calling out her former partner, Adam Cole officially accepted the challenge—and couldn’t resist bringing back one of his most famous catchphrases in the process.
Cole shared his own Ice Bucket Challenge video on Twitter, revealing that he’d been nominated by both Baker and Rebel before encouraging more wrestlers to join the campaign.
“It’s Adam Cole, and I’ve been nominated for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by Britt Baker alongside Rebel, whom we all love very much.”
Before dumping the ice water over his head, Cole passed the challenge on to three of his longtime friends and Undisputed Era stablemates.
“Before I take the plunge, I’m going to nominate Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, and Bobby Fish. Alright, broski, I’m ready.”
Seconds later, the bucket came crashing down. After taking the freezing splash, Cole immediately reacted the only way many wrestling fans expected him to.
“OH MY GOD! OH, THAT’S COLD, BAY BAY!”
Cole’s response comes after Baker’s own Ice Bucket Challenge video unexpectedly got fans talking. While accepting Rebel’s nomination, Baker challenged several wrestlers to keep the campaign going, including Chris Jericho, Renee Paquette, The Young Bucks, Kris Statlander, Orange Cassidy, Thunder Rosa—and Adam Cole.
The Ice Bucket Challenge has taken on a much more personal meaning within the wrestling world after Rebel recently revealed she has been diagnosed with ALS. Since sharing the heartbreaking news, numerous wrestlers have joined the campaign to help raise awareness for the disease and encourage donations.
Now, with Cole adding his name to the growing list of participants—and nominating three more stars—the challenge continues to spread throughout the wrestling community in support of Rebel.
