It’s Tuesday night and that means a brand new episode of WWE NXT for January 25th, and Ringside News has you covered with live play-by-play results coverage. Start time for NXT is at 8:00 PM EST. Match-by-match highlights and results from the show will take place on this very page. Feel free to leave any reactions in the comment section below.
We’re back with another episode of NXT 2.0 and tonight’s show is set to continue the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with MSK facing Jacket Time, while The Grizzled Young Veterans take on Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward. That isn’t the only tag team action however, as Toxic Attraction faces off against Kay Lee Ray, Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell.
Elsewhere tonight, Solo Sikoa seeks revenge against Boa in a No Disqualifications, Falls Count Anywhere match, and Cameron Grimes battles Tony D’Angelo in a North American Championship number one contender match. Then we have a live musical performance from OllieJayy, and the newly-named Gunther will be on hand to demand respect.

NXT 2.0
This week’s NXT opens with MSK standing by the Dusty Cup on the ramp. They’re mesmerised by the trophy and Wes Lee wants to touch it but Carter tells him not out of superstition. He says they’ll be touching it soon enough and suddenly their music hits.

Quarter-Finals
MSK Vs. Jacket Time
Nash Carter starts against Kushida and they exchange holds and reversals. Carter flips out of a wristlock and knock Kushida down before tagging Lee so they can double-team him. Kushida quickly gets the tag to Jiro and the two of them kick Wes Lee’s arms. Ikemen and Lee trade back-and-forth and Lee can’t break through Jiro’s jacket defence.
Jiro clotheslines Lee upside down, then tags Kushida so they can hit double forearms and a double bulldog. Jiro attacks the arm of Lee but he fires back with forearms. Carter tags in and Lee drops Ikemen with an enziguiri, then Carter follows-up with a bronco buster. Jiro lands a few right hands that knock Nash from the ring. Jiro looks to dive through the ropes but Nash grabs his head and Lee kicks it.
*Commercial Break*
Back live and Lee trips Jiro so he can tag Carter. Nash chops Jiro against the ropes, then ducks under him, trips him, and rolls into a deadlift German suplex. Nash lands a Penalty Kick and a standing shooting star press for a near-fall. The fans start an “NXT” chant. Lee tags back in but Jiro superkicks Nash, then counters Lee to hit a back-to-belly piledriver for a close near-fall.
Kushida tags in and they hit a double-team on Lee but Nash breaks the pin attempt. Carter is thrown out and Jacket Time look for a double-team finish but Lee shoves Kushida over the ropes and dodges a Swanton Bomb from Ikemen. Carter tags back in and looks for the standing moonsault shove but Kushida gets his knees up, then grabs a kimura. Carter lifts Kushida up, tags Lee and positions him so Lee can hit a blockbuster for the win!
Winner: MSK
MSK have progressed to the semi-final of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, where they will face Edris Enofe and Malik Blade. MSK and Jacket Time shake hands and hug after the match.
Io Shirai and Zoey Stark are backstage and Stark says she debuted in the Dusty Cup last year but she’s still injured, so she won’t be able to compete this year, but how cool would it be for Io to get her name on it? Shirai says she doesn’t want a new partner. Zoey asks if that’s because she likes her and Shirai starts to protest. Tiffany Stratton appears and insults Zoey’s clothes, then tells Shirai she will beat her later tonight.

We see Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams with special guest, OllieJayy, who will performing a song later tonight.
Legado Del Fantasma are in the ring. Santos Escobar says every week since Bron Breakker appeared in NXT, every Superstar in the back mocks him for his family connection. But then they all praise him and says he’s a huge star in the making. He won’t do that. He prides himself in being real. He and Breakker come from similar families, which is why Bron doesn’t impress or intimidate him.
Santos says the truth is, he despises Breakker for how fast he’s gotten to NXT, the fact that he’s been given all these opportunities. And most of all he hates the fact that Bron won the NXT Championship before him. He’s only been in NXT a few months and it makes him sick. Bron Breakker’s music hits the the big dog makes his way down to the ring to the barks of the crowd. Breakker says he thinks Escobar is great but he’s insecure. He needs Wilde, Mendoza and Lopez.
Bron says they may have had similar upbringings but his family taught him to handle his problems head on. Santos goes to speak but Bron tells him to shut up in Spanish and says “the Champ is speaking”. Breakker tells Escobar to make the challenge and get it over with but Santos says he does things on his time. And when he’s ready, Bron will know. Santos and Lopez leave, then Wilde and Mendoza run at Breakker but he clobbers both and knocks them from the ring.

Solo Sikoa Vs. Boa
As Sokoa makes his entrance, Boa attacks him from behind with a Kendo stick. Boa beats Solo into the ring and continues whacking him. Boa goes outside and gets a few steel chairs and a trash can. He runs in and Sikoa catches him with a Samoan drop. Both men grab chairs and wedge them between the ropes in the corner. They both move for the remaining chair between them and grab an end.
Boa gets the chair and digs him in the gut, then cracks him across the back. Boa hits Solo in the leg and the side a few times, then hits a underhook suplex onto the trash can for a two-count. Boa goes out and sets a table up at ringside but Sikoa goes out and attacks him. They brawl through the crowd into the backstage area and Boa tosses Solo into a ladder and kicks him against it.
Boa lifts a ladder and hits Solo with it, then runs at him but Sikoa dodges and he runs into a garage door. Sikoa slams Boa into the door a few times, then sets the ladder against him and tackles it. Solo runs at Boa but he moves and Sikoa crashes into the door, denting it. Boa kicks Solo against the steel door and shoves him through a door into the parking lot.
Solo locks the door behind him, so Boa is forced to open the garage door but it’s dented so it takes him a minute and a lot of wrenching. As soon as he gets it up a bit, Solo blasts him with a fire extinguisher. Solo beats Boa back to the ring and runs him head-first into steel chairs wedged in every corner, the superkicks him. Solo goes up top but Boa hits the ropes to crotch him.
On the outside, Boa drags Sikoa to the announce table and kicks him against it. He looks for a running kick but Sikoa scoops him up and Samoan drops him into the desk but it didn’t break. Solo sets Boa on the wooden table at ringside he’d set up earlier, then goes to the top rope and hits a huge Uso splash to Boa through the table! Sikoa covers Boa on the floor for the win.
Winner: Solo Sikoa

Imperium cut a promo in which Gunther says he has been Walter for a long time. It’s the name his family gave him and the name of the patriarch that guided him and brought him to the sport. But now it’s time for him to forge his own destiny and usher in a new era for Imperium. Barthel and Aichner say he is the man to lead them, and he is Gunther.
Duke Hudson Vs. Guru Raaj
The bell rings and Hudson immediately boots Raaj in the face, then viciously ground-and-pounds him. Duke lifts him into the corner and punches and kicks him repeatedly. Hudson hits Raaj with a sidewalk slam, then a huge crucifix powerbomb for the win.
Winner: Duke Hudson
As soon as the match ends, Dante Chen comes out to the stage and says he’s going to show Duke the respect he didn’t show him last week, by telling him he’s about to kick his ass. Dante rushes the ring and they brawl but referees pull them apart. Duke breaks free and attacks the knee of Dante before retreating.
Indi Hartwell and Persia Pirotta are interviewed backstage and Persia says she likes he new Duke Hudson, he looks good. Indi tells her to focus and Persia says that’s rich from Mrs. Lumis. Kay Lee Ray appears and says both of them need to focus on tonight, because they have a chance to put Toxic Attraction in their place. And maybe the next photoshoot Toxic Attraction do will be minus all the gold.

Legado Del Fantasma are interviewed backstage and Wilde and Mendoza are furious. Santos says Breakker will have to face Wilde and Mendoza alone, unless he can find a friend. Though he doubts he has any friends because being NXT Champion is a lonely place. Elektra reminds them that Breakker said last week that he’s the first man in the building, and the last man to leave. Santos says maybe they’ll stick around a little longer tonight.
Toxic Attraction Vs. Kay Lee Ray, Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta
Kay Lee Ray starts with Mandy but Rose doesn’t want any, so she tags Jacy. Ray locks-up with Jacy and force her back to the corner. Indi tags in and sends Rose to the apron, then boots her in the face. Jayne counters Indi and knees her, then tags Gigi. Dolan hits a snapmare and looks for a kick but Indi ducks it and rolls her up for a two-count. Dolan beats on Indi, then whips her to the corner and chops her.
Mandy tags in and hits a suplex, then poses before shoving Ray off the ropes. Rose then, literally, runs backwards so Indi can roll her up for a two-count. Persia tags in and hits Mandy with a backbreaker, then Indi hits her with a clothesline. Persia drags Mandy over and tags Ray but Rose rolls out of the ring and runs around it before sliding back in. Ray knocks her to the apron and shoulders her off. Toxic Attraction regroup on the floor and argue with Hartwell and Pirotta until Ray comes off the top rope with a senton onto them.
Ray gets Mandy back in the ring but she tags Jacy while Dolan distracts Ray. Jayne knocks Ray back and Indi tags in. Jayne isolates Indi in their corner and hits her with a senton before tagging Dolan, who forearms her against the ropes. Dolan hits a snapmare, kicks the back, then drills Indi with repeated kicks to the face. Rose tags in and hits Hartwell, then knocks Ray off the apron again.
Rose moves toward Persia but gets intimidated, then Hartwell catches her with a sidewalk slam. Jayne runs in and grabs Indi but gets kicked off and she tumbles from the ring. Hartwell looks to make the tag to Pirotta but Jayne pulls Persia off the apron. Dolan gets the tag and comes in to boot Indi in the face and stomp her head for a near-fall.
*Commercial Break*
Back live and Toxic Attraction is still beating on Hartwell. Jayne kicks Indi and catches her with a neckbreaker for a two-count. Hartwell fights back and finally makes a tag to Pirotta. Dolan comes in as well and Persia runs through her with clotheslines, hits snake eyes, and lands a german suplex for a near-fall. Jayne breaks up the pin, then Indi attacks her, then Mandy hits her with a knee.
Ray comes in and stares down Rose, then drops her. Ray goes out and grabs her baseball bat and Mandy flees from the ring. Rose rests by the steps and begs for mercy but Ray swings the bat and she dodges. Ray chases her and swings again, this time hitting the ring post. Ray chases Mandy to the back, meanwhile Pirotta kicks Gigi in the face and hits a facebuster for the win.
Winners: Kay Lee Ray, Indi Hartwell, & Persia Pirotta

Earlier today Raquel Gonzalez was working out when Cora Jade appeared and asked her if she’d team with her in the Dusty Cup. Raquel refuses and Jade doesn’t understand why. Jade offers to lift bigger weights if it will convince her. Raquel says she needs soemone she can trust. Someone who can get knocked down and get right back up. Jade says that’s her but Raquel says it isn’t. Jade looks to slap Raquel but Gonzalez grabs her arm and tells her not to push her.

Quarter-Finals
Grizzled Young Veterans Vs. Andre Chase & Bohdi Hayward
Drake and Chase lock-up and James grabs the wrist. Chase escapes and flips Drake over, then berates him and Drake gets angry. Chase catches him with a Russian leg sweep, then stomps him as his University students chant. Hayward tags in and grabs a wrist, then immediately tags back out. Chase grabs the wrist, then tags Bodhi again, who shoulders Drake an hits a sunset flip for a two-count.
Chase lands a Dusty Rhodes series of punches and bionic elbow on Drake. He hits the rops but Gibson catches him and drags him out of the ring. Gibson lifts Chase up and Drake leaps over the ropes to drive him down into a shoulder-breaker. Gibson gets Chase back inside and tags in to continue the assault on the shoulder. Gibson whips him to the corner and tags Drake but Chase knocks Drake off the apron and rolls Gibson up for a two-count.
Hayward gets the tag and runs through Gibson, knocks Drake off the apron, then runs into Gibson again. Hayward catches a flying Gibson and body slams him, then hits a series of standing splashes. Drake causes a distraction, allowing Gibson to chop Hayward in the throat. Drake tags back in and boots Chase off the apron, then he and Gibson hit stereo Codebreakers on Hayward for the win.
Winners: Grizzled Young Veterans
Grizzled Young Veterans have progressed to the semi-finals where they will face The Creed Brothers. They go up the ramp to ogle the trophy and Von Wagner slides in the ring to attack Chase and Hayward. He hits both with Angle Slams, then Robert Stone gets in the ring.
Grayson Waller cuts a promo and says LA Knight thought he had him dead to rights but his star is shining brighter than ever. And now Waller has gone international and recruited one of the biggest stars in Bollywood to be his security. He says LA Knight needs to read the restraining order as best he can but should he find a way around it, his security will be waiting to meet him.

IO Shirai Vs. Tiffany Stratton
The match gets undeway and Io grabs a wristlock but Stratton hits a springboard to get free, then both women dodge and reverse each other. Stratton sticks her tongue out to mock Io, then sends her out of the ring. Shirai gets angry and hits the steel steps before getting back in the ring. Shirai eats a few shots but catches Stratton with a flapjack.
Io then mocks Stratton and asks if she’s going to call daddy? Shirai hits a dropkick and locks in a crossface but Tiffany grabs the ropes. Stratton slams Io down by the hair and stomps her, then applies a submission. Shirai starts to fight up but Tiffany drops her for a two-count. Shirai blocks a kick and uppercuts Tiffany, then hits double knes to her in the corner. Shirai bod slams Tiffany, then goes up top and hits the Asai Moonsault forthe win.
Winner: Io Shirai
Malcolm Bivens is in the gym with Diamond Mine. He says he doesn’t give a damn what Gunther calls himself. His parents should have called him dumbass because that’s what he is if he thinks Imperium are going to take on Diamond Mine. He challenges Imperium to a six-man match next week and the Creed Brothers call Imperium just a bunch of European pretty boys. Roderick Strong says no-one will out work Diamond Mine.
Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams come out and introduce OllieJayy, who performs her track ‘Make ‘Em Fall’. Not quite as exciting as Poppy but each to their own.

Tiffany Stratton is backstage on the phone to her daddy. She’s complaining about the referee when she meets Wendy Choo. Wendy tells her not to feel bad because everyone loses to Shirai. Choo slaps the cup out of her hand and tells her daddy that everyone in NXT is a freak.
Next week on NXT, Cora Jade faces Raquel Gonzalez in a bid to earn her respect, Diamond Mine faces Imperium, and Legado Del Fantasma face Bron breakker and a partner if he can find one.

Number One Contender Match
Cameron Grimes Vs. Tony D’Angelo
The match gets underway with Hayes and Williams watching from the podium. Grimes shoots for a takedown by Tony sits on him and lands some right hands. Grimes manages to knock D’Angelo out of the ring but the associate gets back in and gets back on top with a slam. D’Angelo beats Grimes in the corner, then whips him hard to the opposite buckles and Grimes flips over and lands on the floor. D’Angelo brings Grimes back inside and hits a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
*Commercial Break*
We return to see D’Angelo hit Grimes with a belly-to-belly suplex for a two-count. Grimes lands a kick to the gut but D’Angelo grabs him for a underhook suplex and moves to a submission. Grimes fights up but D’Angelo takes him down by the leg and grabs a bearhug. Grimes elbows Tony to get free, lands a few forearms, then misses a running dropkick in the corner.
D’Angelo catches Griemes with a German suplex for a near-fall. Grimes and D’Angelo trade right hands, then Grimes ducks a shot and hits a spinning crossbody for a near-fall. Grimes lands a series of kicks to the chest in the corner but then D’Angelo hits him with a gnarly exploder suplex into the turnbuckles. Tony knocks Cameron into the corner but Grimes knocks him back and hits a springboard moonsault.
Grimes hits a running dropkick like Daniel Bryan, then a crossbody off the top rope for a near-fall and he cna’t believe it. Grimes readies himself for the Cave-In in the corner and chants “to the moon”, but Tony rolls out of the ring to avoid it. The referee checks on Grimes as Tony leans on the announce desk. Suddenly Pete Dunne appears and hits Tony in the back with a 2×4 and rolls him back in where Grimes hits the Cave-In.
Winner: Cameron Grimes
We see Bron Breakker leaving the arena with his suitcase and he’s stopped for an interview. Before he can say much, Legado Del Fantasma roll-up in a black SUV. They step out and Breakker tells them to bring it on. Before Legado can attack, Tommaso Ciampa steps up beside Breakker. Legado hop back in the SUV and drive off. Ciampa and Breakker fist bump.
