Ivar had been on a roll as a singles star as he has become a formidable opponent for anyone in the company. However, he was written off television after getting attacked by Gallus and now it’s been revealed he underwent spine surgery recently.

During this week’s episode of NXT, Wes Lee, Ivar, and Josh Briggs, contenders for a triple threat match to determine the next challenger for the NXT North American Championship, were found incapacitated on the floor. The culprits were none other than the returning faction members of Gallus.

It was then revealed that Ivar had suffered an injury and he was written off WWE television. While many felt he wasn’t actually injured, that doesn’t seem to be true at all now.

The Andrew Sports Medicine social media account took to Twitter and revealed that Ivar underwent spinal surgery recently. In case you didn’t know, Andrew Sports Medicine also helped out Wes Lee while he was out of action due to injury as well.

Dave Meltzer had reported Ivar wasn’t actually injured but that doesn’t seem to be the case. It is currently unknown if Wes Lee or Josh Briggs were also injured during the attack by Gallus, but it’s confirmed Ivar will be out of action for an indefinite period of time. Regardless, we hope he will be returning sooner rather than later.
