WWE NXT Standout Poised for Main Roster Call-Up

Many viewed last Monday’s draft as the more significant of the two nights, with a greater number of stars being called up and assigned to different brands. Among the NXT talent chosen were top names like Ilja Dragunov, Carmelo Hayes, Blair Davenport, and others, making it clear that WWE has major plans for their future on the main roster.

As previously reported, Mike Rome is set to return to announcing for NXT, role he previously held from 2016 to 2019. This move has left fans curious about what this means for Alicia Taylor, who has been the ring announcer for NXT for several years and has also filled in on the main roster when needed.

According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, Alicia Taylor is being called up to the main roster after Backlash, with Rome moving back to NXT. This transition indicates that WWE is shaking up its announcing teams across the brands.

However, there’s actually still uncertainty about which main roster shows Alicia Taylor and Samantha Irvin will be assigned to as ring announcers. Since 2019, Taylor has been a consistent presence on NXT, and her move to the main roster could mean new opportunities and challenges.
