Former AEW Talent Poised for Return After Release

Last month, the unexpected releases of several superstars from the AEW roster shocked quite a few fans for good reason. With that said, one of the released talent will be returning to the company soon.

Among the released talent were Anthony Henry. Henry’s recent run with AEW came to an abrupt halt due to an unfortunate injury he sustained during an independent wrestling match in March.

Henry suffered a broken jaw which not only sidelined Henry but also forced him to withdraw from the AEW Tag Team title tournament, where he was slated to team up with his partner JD Drake.

After a lot of outrage, Tony Khan confirmed that Anthony Henry would return once he recovers from his injury. Anthony Henry took to Twitter and noted that there’s “much more” to the story of his upcoming return. Indicating that he’ll be back “soon,” Henry expressed his enthusiasm about rejoining the wrestling scene.

”There is much more to the story of my return to AEW than most know or will probably ever know. I just know one thing. I am excited to be back in that locker room soon! #Family”

We will have to wait and see what Anthony Henry will accomplish once he returns to AEW television, which doesn’t seem to be too long now. After all, fans just love the Workhorsemen for good reason.
