Supporter Rallies for Shelton Benjamin’s AEW Signing Post WWE Release

Shelton Benjamin, a seasoned veteran in professional wrestling, has often left fans with the sense that his true potential was not fully tapped in his past wrestling ventures. Although he was released from WWE last year, Jim Ross believes that Benjamin will be a great asset to AEW and wants him in the company.

As mentioned previously, ongoing discussions have been taking place between Shelton Benjamin and AEW, exploring the possibility of his appearances for the company. While specific details regarding a potential contract or a full-time deal remain unconfirmed, these discussions commenced a while ago.

While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer talked about Shelton Benjamin being released from WWE. Good ol’ JR noted that Benjamin would be a great credit to any locker room and expressed his desire to see Benjamin in AEW.

“Shelton would be a credit to anybody’s locker room. I am not aware of what his plans are. If he’s a free agent, I’d love to see him get a shot at doing something in AEW. I can see some great matches with Shelton and Bryan Danielson and others, many others, Ospreay. Shelton is just a gifted athlete. He just didn’t have the greatest personality for a TV performer as one might prefer.”

Shelton Benjamin already made his in-ring return following his WWE release. Shelton Benjamin has also addressed making his way to AEW. Nevertheless, only time will tell whether Benjamin will make his way to AEW somewhere down the line.
