Je’Von Evans, who recently joined WWE under the NXT brand, made his in-ring debut on NXT television earlier this week. Evans, previously known as Jay Malachi in other promotions, is viewed as a promising young talent with a bright future ahead. However, his debut faced unexpected controversy when Kevin Scampolli, a commentator and personality, referred to Evans as a “slave” in a derogatory comment

Je’Von Evans has been making waves on NXT Level Up in recent weeks, and on the April 9 episode of NXT TV, he stepped into the ring for his highly anticipated debut. Facing off against SCRYPTS in a singles match, Evans showcased his skills and emerged victorious, solidifying his presence on the NXT roster.

Kevin Scampoli spoke on his podcast and referred to Je’Von Evans as a “slave” during Evans’ NXT interview. This was incredibly offensive and inappropriate. Such language and remarks are unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any context, especially when discussing a young talent in the world of professional wrestling.

”Look at the panic in his face. ‘The director said wrap it up! I’m in trouble.’ This is f**** pathetic. That’s a wrestler to you? Someone who’s scared of a f****** little white dude in a suit, a jew? You’re a slave, not a wrestler. That’s a slave face. You’re deadnaming him Gino, he’s Je’Von Evans him, he’s a slave. He ain’t the free man you fell in love with.

Unsurprisingly, quite a few NXT talent came to Je’Von Evans’ aid, as NXT General Manager compared Scampoli to Mr. Blobfish and told people to report him. Trick Williams also called Scampoli pathetic. Je’Von Evans himself would also respond to what Scampoli had to say, making it clear he couldn’t care less.

Nonetheless, Evans’ debut and potential should be celebrated and respected, free from derogatory language and offensive comments. Fans and fellow WWE stars have expressed their support for Evans, condemning Scampolli’s remarks and emphasizing the importance of creating a positive and inclusive environment within the wrestling industry.
