Chad Gable has been very instrumental in the WWE Intercontinental Championship picture for a few months now and hopes to recreate a similar scene on RAW next week being slated to compete for the workhorse title.

Despite missing out on huge opportunity to Sami Zayn to compete for the title at WrestleMania 40, Gable helped Zayn through various training sessions to prepare him for his high-stakes bout against GUNTHER at The Show of Shows.

Gable’s training regime proved to be pivotal as Sami Zayn triumphed over The Ring General dethroning him for the WWE Intercontinental title and ending his record-setting reign on The Grandest Stage of them all.

The alliance of Sami Zayn and Chad Gable continued till the RAW after WrestleMania 40 when the new champion agreed to put his title on the line against Chad Gable. However, Gable took to his X to remind Sami and the entire WWE Universe that he defeated then-champion GUNTHER the last time RAW was in Zayn’s hometown, Montreal Quebec, Canada, possibly looking to recreate the same scene, only this time for the championship.

“Last time I was in Quebec… I beat Gunther. See you Monday, Sami. #WWERaw.”

With Gable finally getting a chance to win the WWE Intercontinental title that many had hoped he would get at WrestleMania 40, it will be interesting to see if the former Olympian could finally rise to the occasion and become champion.
