While Cody Rhodes currently holds the mantle of WWE’s top babyface, veteran wrestler Kevin Sullivan believes that a strategic heel turn could elevate Rhodes to even greater heights, especially after his victory in the 2024 men’s Royal Rumble.

In a recent episode of his “Tuesdays With The Taskmaster” podcast, Sullivan outlined his belief that WWE has a golden opportunity to capitalize on Rhodes’ potential as a heel.

Sullivan pointed to Rhodes’ narrative of following in his father Dusty’s footsteps, a storyline that has endeared him to fans.

Sullivan stated, “He has used Dusty’s trial and tribulations trying to grab the brass ring, that he’s doing this for his father, and it really got the people behind him. And that’s why… when he actually turns heel after he wins this belt, he’ll have nothing but white heat.”

Sullivan’s foresight extended beyond Rhodes, as he predicted a significant shift in the dynamic of WWE’s top star, Roman Reigns, by the time WrestleMania 41 rolls around in 2025.

The two superstars will find themselves on opposing sides of a tag team match at WrestleMania 40 (Night One), followed by a highly anticipated singles showdown in the main event of WrestleMania 40 (Night Two).
