Andrade’s AEW contract status was clarified after Tony Khan confirmed that he would not be sticking with AEW, officially making him free agent. While he returned to WWE in the end, he did end up rejecting a generous offer from AEW before that.

During AEW Worlds End last year, Andrade lost to Miro in singles bout, which ended up becoming his final match in the promotion. Tony Khan then gave ton of praise to Andrade in the post-event press conference.

Andrade’s return was anticipated after his AEW contract expired in late 2023. Despite indications that he had made a decision, Tony Khan made efforts to retain the former NXT Champion.

Dave Meltzer from the Wrestling Observer shared this information in response to a Twitter post discussing AEW’s stance on Andrade leaving the company. He noted how Andrade turned down a good offer from AEW to return to WWE.
