Toni Storm has been missing from AEW television since March, but somebody just dropped a pretty bizarre clue about her whereabouts — and it came on a cassette tape handed to a fan at WrestleDream.

The mystery started at AEW WrestleDream on October 17, 2026, when content creator Astrid Pizarro was handed a package by someone she didn’t identify. Inside was a cassette marked “Toni Storm Tapes,” wrapped in paper stamped “confidential” with instructions to “play me.” The really interesting part? It was labeled “one out of five.” Pizarro said she was the only person in her area who received one, and she has no clue where the other four ended up.

“I was handed out the tape at WrestleDream by somebody. I opened it, it just said ‘play me.’ Thankfully my dad and my brother have a cassette player, so I was able to play it today. I was the only one in my area that got it, and it says one out of five. I don’t know who the other four people are.”

Pizarro eventually uploaded the audio to YouTube, revealing that Renee Paquette narrates the recording. According to the storyline, nobody has seen or heard from Storm since March 18, 2026, but a mysterious package recently arrived at AEW headquarters in Jacksonville containing five cassette tapes with no return address. And apparently, Storm had been secretly recording just about everything.

“It was long rumored that Toni had a recording device inside her purse capturing every conversation, every meeting, every moment. Well, now those rumors are true. These are the Toni Storm tapes.”

The first cassette, titled “Mundanities,” gives fans a look at Storm’s daily routine, and it’s exactly the kind of insanity you’d expect from the Timeless One. One recording features her delivering a morning motivational speech that sounds more like she’s preparing to ruin somebody’s day.

“I am capable, strong, and ready to make the day my mistress. Today, I choose misery, conflict, and hostility in all that I do. I exude fragility, pettiness, and an unfillable void to everyone I see.”

“I face the day with resentment and scorn. My mind is a mess. My heart is in shambles. And my body is barely holding it together like an overstuffed garbage bag. But damn it, I am timeless.”

Another recording features Storm talking to her 12-year-old cocker spaniel, Chanty. What begins with her calling him a good boy quickly turns into an absolutely unhinged lecture about who’s in charge.

“Now, you listen to me. I own you. I created you, and I can end you. You are nothing without me. You worship the ground I walk on, or I will make your life a living hell.”

There’s also a recording of Storm giving wrestling students career advice, which apparently includes one very important fashion requirement.

“Lesson number four, if you want to make it in this business, you’ve got to get yourself a cool hat.”

Another track, titled “Cinema,” features audio from the disastrous production of Storm’s unreleased movie, “Toni, Toni, Toni.” But one detail really sticks out. The narration reveals that the final tape is labeled “Death.” That’s an interesting choice of words considering Storm’s disappearance remains one of AEW’s biggest unresolved storylines.

Storm last wrestled at AEW Revolution on March 15, defeating Marina Shafir. She was scheduled to face Shafir again on the March 18 episode of Dynamite, but that match never happened. Instead, AEW showed Storm laid out in her locker room, with no explanation about who attacked her.

Dave Meltzer later indicated that Storm’s absence wasn’t injury-related, and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter subsequently stated that she was expected to remain off television until 2027. However, Tony Khan provided an interesting update during the WrestleDream media scrum. He wouldn’t give a date for Storm’s return, but he confirmed she’s coming back and made it clear that whoever attacked her hasn’t heard the last of her.

“I can’t say when or where but I know ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm will be back in AEW.”

So now we’ve got five mysterious cassettes, a woman who vanished after being attacked backstage, and a recording ominously labeled “Death.” Only the first tape has been made public through Pizarro, leaving four more pieces of this strange little puzzle unaccounted for.

Who do you think attacked Toni Storm, and what do you think is hiding on the other four tapes? Drop your theories in the comments below.
